Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was thinking about how much we spent on Richarlison and Solanke, and sold Kane. £120m for two injury-prone, non-prolific strikers. Pretty much another waste of a load of money.

Solanke has 7 league goals and is always injured. It's no wonder we never do anything, because the we either buy over-priced or injury-prone players, or both.

Solanke’s injury record before this season was incredible

Here’s an idea.

Leave Solanke alone. His injury record before joining us was brilliant. So no he isn’t ’always injured’ at all.

Has played well for us too. End of discussion.

Think you need to think a little more regarding Solanke.

Always injured lol

Solanke is the one player for whom I think this 'Spurs injury curse' has something to it ..
He was barely injured his entire career and was pretty much ever present for Bournemouth last season (who play a similar high press to us, so I'm not blaming Ange or the system per se)

But it does beggar the question the intensity of training, AND the standard of our medical team to make every injury seem like an A&E casualty!!
. summit isn't right behind the scenes!

check out our stats for sprints without the ball. There's pressing and theres pressing. And then theres us.

Our stats are so far out they've had to make a different chart to include us.

Theres your answer.

If Ange stays next season I'd ask for a transfer if I was him. He needs to be playing matches and scoring goals rather than on the treatment table becaue of that muppet

That's his injury record.

Ok, I stand somewhat corrected...

Thank gawd someone did some homework... I was just going on hearsay and assumed he'd never missed so much as a days' training in his life!!

So assuming 2018/19 was an anomaly (as he was still only 20, and one would assume still developing as a footballer)y point isn't AS extreme as I'd thought, he clearly has had injuries before...
I guess it's just the scale of and length of them that's concerning.

His last season at Bournemouth was pretty much unblemished in terms of availability, and I guess that's what I was basing my opinion on...

It's not so much the fact players get injured, they do, it's just the recurring nature of it with us, and the never ending longevity of some of them (VDV, Romero, Odobert, Solomon to name a few)

I just can't believe we gave up on Perisic... we effectively replaced him with Werner, and now he's tearing it up for PSV...
I just hope he keeps his shooting boots on for the CL!!!!

I'm afraid, as a fan of an .. shall we say ahem... more vintage generation, I now feel like part of the problem facing the modern day football fan...
...as I do t have a CLUE what you're on about, not do I allow myself to be concerned with such thing, and even if I was, wouldn't know who to ask for such information...

Is it in the sports section of the Evening Standard, or maybe on CEEFAX page 302??

I tend to class stats like Sprints without the ball up there with xG and heat maps...
I just wanna know who's playing the next gane, and to try to enjoy the game as best I can without all these outside distractions and extenuating circumstances!
I know, I know.... ⚽🦕⚽🦖

I'm afraid I like my football like I like my men: simple and easy to understand!!!

There is a theory that Postecoglou is pushing the players too hard causing injuries to become more likely.

I can see that with VDV because he keeps having to sprint back at full pelt to make emergency tackles, especially when the full backs are up-field.

Yes - he has a good record of not being injured before he joined us.
And by all accounts it was a freak injury.
Throughout his career he has a 1 - 4 scoring record - and something like 1 - 10 assists
That may improve with us ( a better team).

He is ok - not more - there is a reason he has not been in England squads.

Fine as a squad player and rotating starter - not good enough as an automatic pick for a top 4 or even top 6 team.
