Incredible work rate. Epitomised by that chase back in the 90th minute or thereabouts to win the ball back with that tackle from behind.

Even his first goal, it's him who initiated winning the ball back, he chases down Onana who is then pressed by kulusevski which causes Onana to over hit his pass because he's under pressure from both directions Ben Davies intercepts and a great passing move follows to set up his goal.
In terms of what he offers us he's worth more than what we paid, and people will still complain. His work rate, his intelligence, that finish, completely selfless (note the reaction on Johnson's goal despite him looking certain to score himself), I cocking love me some Solanke

Better than Kane
Definitely becoming a favourite of mine. Seems a humble, hard working, no bs type.
Funny that Kane is mentioned here because that reminds me, Solanke is miles better than Kane when it comes to his off the ball work and pressing.
And this isn’t a dig at Kane either, but he was for us over the last few seasons in terms of his work rate and pressing quite lazy. Yes he did have the odd game where he worked hard and pressed well in recent years, but there was a noticeable drop off as he got older in terms of this side of his game.
He just used to stand or jog around and would only really come alive when he got the ball. Used to be so annoying. Just watch Kane with England at the euros as an example.
It was one of the things I was really jealous about Liverpool’s attack under Klopp as they were pressing machines, all of them. It really was so key to their success.
Well Solanke is cut from the same cloth and it really give the attack a whole different dynamic.
So whilst Solanke will never be the goal scorer or finisher or even creator Kane was, he’s definitely a more modern pressing CF which can functionally fit our type of system as well as anyone.

He has played well in most games whether he has scored or not. Given he's not had a million chances, he has also been pretty clinical overall.
A shame he doesn't have Harry Kane to drop off and play him through, they'd be fantastic together upfront!
But anyway, he's a good footballer and a very good athlete with a tremendous work rate. In today's market, he is absolutely worth what we paid. It's up to Ange and the team to get him better service so we can bury more teams the way we did Villa in the 2nd half.

Goal scorers will always get more plaudits but Sarr was my MOTM today , he was incredible, still Solanke was also brilliant !

One example of this guy's insane workrate is his first goal. When Davies intercepts the ball that starts the play, Dom is almost at the half-way line running back to help out on their break.
I've got to watch him close two games in a week and it's mindboggling how much he works off the ball.
