Player Dominic Solanke

Dom's stats - not as good at holding the ball up as some say he is.

spursfan76 Charlie F = Exquisite bad takes.

That's an interesting set of stats.

I read it as big game player who, against low blocks, is suffering from lack of service from creative support players. With a fit Odobert and Moore I think that improves.

I’m not sure that’s fair.

Kane worked very hard too. His problem was he played through injuries when he should have been on the bench. He shouldn’t have been anywhere near the Euro team last Summer.

Dom’s doing very well.

Reminds me of that recklessly stupid challenge Kane did his ankle on versus whoever it was for Man City back in 18-19(?). If there was one player I wish had not pressed quite as much and gone in recklessly with their body for us, it was Kane.

His work rate makes Kane’s look plodding in comparison. Kane is the much more talented and complete striker, but graft goes a long way.

No chance that 2020s Kane makes the run and holds off Konate like that for the goal in the 86th minute. Kane is obviously a far better player, but Solanke is an absolute workhotse

Yep- his getting of that ball, and schooling of Konate en route to Bergvall's goal was ridiculous. Top ST play.

Imagine if he’d had; pre-season and better performing team mates…

I'd point to even earlier when oppo were just mercilessly chopping him down.

His earlier injuries were all impact injuries and what accumulated to slowing him down.
