Me too. If he stays fit I think hell have an excellent season next season.
Couple of questions
1. Define what an excellent season next season would look like? How many goals/assists?
2. What evidence do you have that staying fit will result in an excellent season.

This is a player who has never really suffered any long term injuries yet he's only had one season that you might describe as excellent. Sadly for us it was the season before we wasted 60m on him. In my opinion, he is a very good Championship forward / below average Premier League forward.

I think he's useful when fit but £60m was over the top even back then given he just had his first really stand out top flight season. I guess the argument was he was a former wonderkid who got lost in the system at Chelsea and Liverpool but took the long route back to reach what was predicted at Bournemouth. But he's probably not a better forward than Calvert-Lewin or Welbeck and certainly not better than Watkins. Let alone Harry Kane's successor.

Not better than Welbeck no way, not better than Watkins, hell no. Brought by a coach who did not know what elite looks like having never coached it. Im serious: Emrey, Conte, Tuchel, have worked closely, with top top footballers we were insane asking Ange Frank and a Danish youth team scout to assemble a team to compete at EPL level. They don't know how.

I think bringing in this level coach and a competent D.O.F has to be a priority and I'd try and get Alderweireld Bale players not long out the game back, as part of our set up who can look at the technical and physical requirements of targets and go thumbs up or down.

Guy needs to take a hard look in the mirror, as maybe a few players of his ilk need to do when a so called big club comes calling. Wissa, another. I know thats a stupid thing to say as well before anyone says anything, but.

And I'm not blaming Solanke but his quality of signature is exactly why we have become a mediocre club. And we are mediocre and no worse. It's only injuries that have us fighting for survival, but irrespective we are a mid-table to top 8 club at the very best.

We no longer have any player whose presence separates us from the rest. I will keep saying it until it changes, and it doesn’t simply rely on an excess of expenditure but knowledge and insight into what makes a top player. It's not just talent but mental snd physical fortitude. Greatly misunderstood.

In a million years, Solanke was never going to be a hit at our club, and with an England place, now gone, which he should never have been even considered for, it would be nice to Solanke give us something back on the outlay.

15 league games, 3 goals.

Injuries happen, players go out of form but we cannot have this again. It's clear that neither Richy or Solanke are capable of a 20+ goal season, big clubs need them. One of them needs to go and be replaced with someone of the required level.

Solanke being English/home grown and slightly younger suggests it'll be him who stays but if we're in a position where he's our only striker, we are setting ourselves up for failure. I'm fine with him playing as an option but availability is the best ability and his record over two seasons is shit.

If I'm Roberto, I tell Mr Sore Throat before he goes away on holiday: I'm gonna sign an elite level striker and give the backup minutes to young Lanks. You will ride the bench all season, just getting garbage mins here & there. You don't deserve any more than that. Your play has been terrible and your attitude shocking...missing the NLD cause of a sore throat and Chelsea cause you were tired...vaffanculo!
