It's a perfect job for 'Arry "faking rahn abhat a bit", the talent in that squad need to be able to express themselves. The tools are all there for him.

Tim Howard - 'Arry loves an old yank goalie
Gaz Baz - again 'Arry loves an old workhorse to cover CDM
Barclay - perfect all action midfielder who 'Arry can put and arm around
Lennon - well they already worked together
Lukaku - is Lukaku

Then a good scattering of Johnny foreigner types that uncle 'Arry likes to sign, to pay for his next holiday.

He'll probably not fancy Deulofeu who's too fancy dan and lazy, will try to offload him to Brum.
 
I don't really have much time for any of the other teams in the PL, but I don't mind Everton - any team that gives out toffees to supporters are OK with me :)
I also like Martinez, as I think he is a genuine guy. When we were looking to replace Timmy, I wouldn't have minded signing him up, and I was expecting him to be more successful than he has been.
Concur with the general consenus re AVB, don't think he is the answer for EFC, and doubt he will come back to England anyway.
 
To be fair to AVB he was hamstrung by Fabulous Franco and his purchases.Although playing a high line with Vlad, Kaboul, Dawson or Verts didn't seem like the best of all ideas.
In fact defending with Vlad isn't the best of ideas.....
He (AVB) wanted Joao Moutinho and Hulk. We got Paulinho and Bobby.
Basically I would say avoid.
 
It's the fat Spanish waiter apparently. Though for some reason he still thinks he will be asked to take over the Spanish team. He will wait for two games of Euros then sign the impressive contract he has been offered.

It will be revealed when Spain are knocked out.

Interesting to see where he goes next/how he does. Aside from keeping PSV at bay, which... err... he didn't manage to do this season, there's not a whole lot else to the Ajax job.

Having said that, he was my first job to take over Spurs two years ago, ahead of Pochettino.

Edit: oh shiiiiit, just realised that Ajax only lost the league on the final day because they drew their final game instead of winning it. And I thought our Sunday could be disappointing...
 
Everton have been a complete disgrace for the past few months, especially the last several games. Used to rate Lukaku and Barkley, but they've been as feeble as the rest. Their entire squad should hand back their wages from February onwards.

I think Martinez knew he was a dead-man walking when the new owners were announced and the pressure got to him
 
EFC_DAN , what did you make of that dross last night? I'm not trolling as I feel for you . Half the players couldn't give a fuck & I think a few will be looking for a move in the summer .
 
I think de Boer would be a good appointment for them. Sure, he's young and unproven at this level but he's got experience, has contacts and Everton is an enticing job for anyone with ambition in my view.

They have as much money as anyone now, got a team full of very good talent, a few signings here and there such as goalkeeper and defence and they could challenge for a European position next season.

What's key is they have to keep hold of the likes of Barkley and Lukaku this summer.
 
I do hope Everton manage to sort themselves out off and on the pitch. Too many proper traditional clubs with proper fan bases have crashed: Leeds, Forest, Villa, Newcastle, Sheff Wed... I don't like some of them at all, but I'd much rather the intensity and atmosphere of those games rather than the small plastic identikit clubs like Leicester, Swansea... and then utter shite little clubs like Watford, Bournemouth, Burnley and Chelsea.
 
EFC_DAN . Years ago we suddenly found George Graham as our manager, who some/many/most/all hated for his Woolwich history. Now Newcastle are relegated, what would be the EFC reaction if Benitez were linked with replacing Martinez?

Martinez hasn't, or didn't do himself too many favours. He came out with some Redknapp/Rodgers/Wenger levels of twaddle.

That said, players have been woeful.

I'd get on the phone to Mourinho, see if that cum tissue of a bloke has the rocks to take on a proper challenge.

I don't think he has and will wait for the ManUre job that alot of people think is nailed on.

I wouldn't be so sure.

He has way too much baggage IMO

Will probably end up at PSG

Apparently he'd have £100m war chest, no challenge to be had there. He needs to go to Palace and restore their former glories!
