Papering over the cracks
Tomorrow, Real Madrid play Barcelona in La Liga. I´m in Spain, so I´ll be watching it (on TV). Will anyone else?
I´m more interested in a footballing spectacle than anything, and since Spurs aren´t playing tomorrow I choose this.
Previous fixtures have frequently bubbled over one way or another. Barcelona looks strong as ever but Real Madrid fly
above them in the table this year, so there´s a slight difference in the approach up to this game even if it´s just
psychological. Should be interesting.

If nothing else it´ll give the green pixels on my TV a chance to burn out some more.

was speaking about this in the office this morning. It happens to coincide with the UK final of the XFactor so for once I'll be allowed to go upstairs and watch football that doesn't involve Spurs without the normal guilt trip I get subjected to.

Quite looking forward to it and reckon Madrid will win.

Local pizza joint is in rivalry with Dominos which just opened. So a XL pizza with two free sides whilst watching this with a mate is my saturday evening.

If the sides didn't have the best players in the world I would turn it off. They spend half the time on the floor, it's very frustrating to watch. I will never ever watch any other La Liga match unless it's those two.

got bored half way through. Best players or not, throwing yourself to the floor doesn't constitute entertainment in my eyes and until it's stopped (will never be) football isn't the game it should be or once was.

Having said that, glad Barca won, although funny how we perceive Madrid to be the anti football team when in reality they'd entertain the crap out of us compared to all but 1 team in England, that's right, I'm talking about Newcastle (the entertainers). ;)

Sticking it on Sky+ to watch on my return home from the pod this evening.

Ronaldo-watch, innit. See if he turns up this time.
