This really gets me. My Labrador is almost obsessed with me and I don’t know how he would deal if someday out of the blue I disappeared from his life. I know that it sounds silly but the love of a dog it’s really hard to explain

But he'd still be alive and in their team if the transfer hadn't gone through. The transfer was completed and, as a direct result of that, he boarded the plane that killed him.
I suspect that Cardiff witholding payment" until they are satisfied with the paperwork" is seeing if they can get out of it as well. IMO neither club comes out of this spat well.

Ask me, they should both give 7.5 million to his family
Exactly what I was thinking. Give the cash to the family. It would be a great gesture from teams, but won’t happen.
I'm sure they are hardly struggling....... that poor dog is hardly looking out onto a council estate.Exactly what I was thinking. Give the cash to the family. It would be a great gesture from teams, but won’t happen.

Cardiff didn't do that. IIRC, Cardiff arranged a commercial seat. The agent said no "15m players don't fly commercial", and arranged his private pilot to fly Sala. That pilot then backed out and arranged for Dave Ibbotson, a much less experienced pilot without an instrument rating. This boils down to the pilots. You’d think so, but these are the same group of people collectively that put him in an allegedly rickety plane.
