Rice? no chance, dubious on palmer and foden too
premier league cool-aid at it's finest

Old School Drinking GIF by Bounce

Like I said, Palmer has to do what he's been doing for longer. Foden last season was considered by many to be among the best players in the world. A poor 6 months and suddenly he was never really that good. That's how fickle football fans can be.

One of our best players this season who has played through fatigue and given 100% every game and you are just laughing at him and basically calling his sh*t.

Is there anyone at the club you like? Please tell me one person at the club who you like because all I've seen you do is badmouth every single person associated with the club.

FYI - I agree that most our management and players are underperforming this season and deserve some critism, but Kulusevski is one of the good guys!

Kulu is somewhat inconsistent and has too many games where he looks slow and utter turd. While he is one of our better players on his day, that goes without saying, he's a million miles away from being world-class.

Rodri isn't and has never been a box to box midfieder though. In fairness Rice is probably the one player I named on that list that's a bit of a reach to say he's world class. But as an 8 he has that potential. If he left Woolwich at the end of his contract most of the biggest clubs in Europe would be in for him.
Out of possession he is brilliant. Almost like a Kante. But on the ball he is bang average and offers very little creativity or directness.

I think its no coincidence that Woolwich have become a much more defensive team with a lack of creativity since they've signed him. He has added an extra level of defensive cover and control to them, but he has taken away most the flair and creativity they had in the 22/23 season.

If you ignore his 3 months of bad form in a period when the team needed senior players to stand up.

Boring Ange lover is still boring.

Kulu has had maybe 8 months of good form in his entire Spurs career. Maddison is a better player than he is.

‘One of the good guys’ - meanders about losing the ball most of the time.

Foden has 16 Goal Involvements this season, Kulusevski has 20.

For chances created, big chances created, shot creating actions. xAG Kulusevski = 6.1. xAG Foden = 4.7. Kulusevski beats him for carries, take ons, tackles, interceptions, and blocks.

There is no debate, this season Kulusevski has been the better player.

Yeah Kulusevski has been better than Foden in Foden’s worst ever season by far. How amazingly interesting.

Foden is better. He scored 19 open play league goals last season and won premier league player of the season. Before that he was consistently putting up great numbers for multiple seasons. Kulusevski has had a couple of good 6 month periods.

No manager in the world takes Kulusevski over Foden in a team.

You still haven't named one person associated with the club that you like which was my question.

I'd rather be accused of loving people associated with the club than hating them. I'm also far from an "Ange Lover". I've just backed him in the past.

Nope. You were a massive Ange fan boy for the majority of the season.

I like Van de Ven, Maddison is pretty good, I don’t mind Sarr for what he does, Solanke is decent .. there’s a few others who do a job .

If we had loads of players I liked, the team wouldn’t be where we are. Maybe I’ll like some of them more when they have an actual manager coaching them. Hard to like them when we lose every week.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt while we had an extreme injury crisis but I've changed my mind since.

I am allowed to change my mind with new information. The new information being that perfromances and results have not picked up since we got our players back.

This shouldn't be an "Us against them" forum but if you want to score points against me then well done. You win I guess.

Is there a match on tonight or summit?? .

...the collective shit I couldn't give right now with the International fixtures, is up there with the results of the remaining League games Spurs have this season!

Just everyone come back NOT injured!!!

Meaningless match.

Will tell us nothing, but allows Kane to further extend a record that has merit but has not won international trophies, and will either see tomorrow's headlines of Tuchel's Brave New World or some other sycophantic tripe

Best thing about tonight is that I don't have to worry about the scoreline, although it carries with it the same inevitability of outcome as our next match.

Palmer is unbelievable btw. He’s not inconsistent either, he’s just experiencing his first period of bad form so far. Every single player in the world that wasn’t Messi and Ronaldo experiences this.

His numbers even with that period this season are excellent. Chelsea fall apart without him on form because he’s that influential.

Not meaningless at all if you actually follow England. Every game now is important leading up to the World Cup.

Just needs to shin one in and then normal service will resume for him. Having Jackson back will make a difference too as his movement creates the space Palmer flourishes in.

Foden has had one decent game for England at best.

Foden isn’t a winger. He start on the wing sometimes for City but he plays as a rotating number 10 in the City system. Either use him as a 10 or don’t play him, he isn’t going to burn full backs, he is a technical link player.

Foden isn’t a winger and Rashford isn’t good enough. Tuchel needs to play Gordon on the left and one of Bowen or Saka on the right and that will fix the issue.

I think Rashford, at his best, is good enough. He already has a decent record for England, and has shown he can score goals in the Premier League. He just got stale at United and should have moved a couple of years ago for his own sake.

Foden has played right left and central for England and has been poor all over.

Rashford is ok on the left, Gordon is better. Saka is first choice on the right and probably Palmer as a second .

For whatever reason foden needs to be second or third choice for England
