I know, that's my point.
People see the chart and think "oh we're the 10th richest club in the world" not knowing that it's only based on revenue

I know, that's my point.
We started from a low base, no one can dispute this. It’s not just about now it’s about the last 20+ years. In terms of this current squad - the damage is done and we are now in stagnation mode. Conte will go; Kane will go. And at that point, what’s left?
It’s about the failure to invest at times we most certainly could have matched and overtaken City, United and Liverpool. This was the case under Harry. More so under MoPo when we had the foundations of something excellent. I remember we beat Liverpool 4-1. We were far superior in every department. Liverpool spent, we penny pinched and stagnated. There’s no reason we can’t match these teams with smart investment. Look at what Woolwich are doing now! And, they will do precisely and exactly what we didn’t do: invest in a young, hungry team. Look what Liverpool have done with far less resources than City, Utd and Chelsea. It’s madness to think otherwise; to think we just take it. You really are delusional.
We are a big club with incredibly wealthy owners. We are generating massive revenues. Our chairman is the highest paid chairman in the league and we have the highest tickets prices in the league. We deserve so much better.
How can’t you see it? Everybody else is beginning to.
Nobody is going to book a venue until it's open and they can see what it's like.Large bands usually book venues way in advance , we have 6 months of nada
You do know that the stadium was completed in 2019 , getting on for 4 years ago & work started 7 years ago , not enough time to sort out a deal ?
So that was signed after our deal for our purpose built NFL stadium. When is he appearing on dragons den ?
Agree mate, unless we get a so called sugar daddy, we will be a fourth best team at best. The complaints in this thread are entirely pointless, mine included. Levy is going nowhere, neither is the club. Our role in the Prem is to keep things interesting for the big clubs. We aren’t designed to be one of the big boys. In and around 4-7th place and the odd semi-final, maybe a couple finals every 20 years. That’s us and that always will be us unless the club capitulates entirely. At least you can say with Levy/Enic the capitulation is unlikely.
I’m not even sure the Prem is structured for Spurs to be any different anyway. Especially now the Saudi’s are buying a seat at the table through Newcastle.
2) Those are 3 different clubs with 3 different budgets. Nobody in the world can compete with City. UTD are in the next tier with Real. Do I believe that Spurs can compete with Liverpool for transfer budgets? Absolutely.
I think they make excuses about why they can’t compete with Chelsea, UTD, and Liverpool
We started from a low base, no one can dispute this.
Then Levy (wrongly imo) concentrated on the stadium rather than the team.
Poch refused some good players and Levy backed his choice.
Poch was adamant on signing others and Levy backed his choice.
Poch didn't want a DoF and wanted more say in who was signed, Levy backed his choice.
Our investment has been shocking in the past. Levy should have booted Hitchin out the door, he was useless.
Why can't you see that since the fans have been allowed in the stadium, and Levy's appointment of a DoF our recruitment is miles better ?
Both in money spent (3rd highest in last 2 years) and in quality of players bought .
There's no denying your point, but many other clubs have been "pushed out" .You say we started from a low base, which I can't dispute, we were shit. But when ENIC took over we were, at that point in time, one of the most successful clubs in England. I believe we were still the record FA Cup winner and probably 3rd or 4th all time in the honours list.
In the years since we've been well and truly pushed out of that. It's starting to feel like we could go the way of West Ham and it could be 40+ years with absolutely nothing.
At least they know what they are
Because they could find a more ambitious transfer budget if they wanted to. They are more than ok with their business model right now and it doesn’t include Spursvregularly winning. So why complain that we aren't competing with them then ?

Which are the world's richest football clubs in 2023? | Goal.com
Deloitte have released their latest Football Money League numbers which rank the most lucrative football clubs in 2023 - and here's who make the listwww.goal.com
Liverpool have @£150m more revenue than us every year.
Chelsea, just under £100m more than us.
There's no denying your point, but many other clubs have been "pushed out" .
Everton, Villa, even Woolwich to a certain extent, although nowhere near to others.
It's due to oil money and traditionally "bigger" clubs.
There are very, very few trophies won by teams who aren't Utd, City, Chelsea and Liverpool, and those that are , are an anomaly.
That doesn't mean I'm happy about it.
Like the £150m that was there to be drawn on in the summer.Because they could find a more ambitious transfer budget if they wanted to. They are more than ok with their business model right now and it doesn’t include Spursvregularly winning.
Winning also brings revenue btw… its not as simple or linear as you make it. Otherwise we’d still have a 36k arena.
If woolwich are lower than us in the rich list how have they outspent everyone the last 2-3 years?
So where does the extra money come from to sign more players ?Because they could find a more ambitious transfer budget if they wanted to. They are more than ok with their business model right now and it doesn’t include Spursvregularly winning.

Woolwich are only below us because they had no CL last year.
Woolwich are on the brink of FFP.
They've gambled on getting CL next year.
It looks like that has worked, but if by some miracle they don't get it, they are fucked.
It’s been open for 3 bloody years . How many artist have played ? Since restrictions ? 4 ? How many stadium bands have toured ? Hundreds . Isn’t a part of good business , planning ahead?Nobody is going to book a venue until it's open and they can see what it's like.
Yes, and Enic have always been very clear on that point. When have we ever gambled? We've never thrown caution to the wind.
We know we have massive leeway in terms of FFP. But we're terrified of spending money on the squad in case we do a Leeds.
There is obviously ways to get money outside of the club income to spend on the squad. We will just never do it because we're risk averse.
Why are you omitting all the other things that happened there. It’s been open for 3 bloody years . How many artist have played ? Since restrictions ? 4 ? How many stadium bands have toured ? Hundreds . Isn’t a part of good business , planning ahead?
I don’t mind having these chats but we both know that no one is changing anyone's mind . Some people can tolerate ENIC actions , after the Olympic stadium bid , sacking Jol at half time , the super league . Hiring managers who clearly don’t fit ENIC agenda & then sacking them ( how much has that cost us) Eventually finding a manager in Poch , who did wonders & then rewarding him with a 500 day self exposed embargo of transfers. No wonder our performance dropped , he probably felt betrayed. Writing chairman’s letters to the customers as hollow as his Easter egg head about DNA & our way and then hiring a bloody folk singer to make us proud. The frugal myth is just another word for cheap, anyways we’re talking about a business that is anything but frugal , it’s insanity.
My patience ran out for his many , many years ago . Some people still live off “Jam tomorrow “ which is fine but it does feel a tad Stockholm Syndrome
You are a fucking liar peddling out of date and irrelevant stats. Shut upSo why complain that we aren't competing with them then ?

Whether they have a kitty saved up or not is irrelevant. There are ways they could make money happen for the squad if they wanted to. And we could stay within FFP in doing so.Yes, and Enic have always been very clear on that point.
If anyone is expecting Enic to use there own money they'll be disappointed.
That does not equate to the club having billions locked up in a vault somewhere.
There are a list of things. The thing is I am not pro Levy or ENIC and criticise when I think they are wrong but some just criticise everything and do not accept that they have improved in the last couple of years putting money in, Levy taking a back seat on negotiations . It really is pointless bringing up historical data, I cannot understand what provoked this deluge of posts against the owners at this time.
That report was published in March this year, using the latest available figures. You are a fucking liar peddling out of date and irrelevant stats. Shut up
