No we have not “built” a team around kane. There’s has been no strategy to our transfers or direction. We simply have the best striker in the world surrounded by a bunch of mostly average players, that is why we have nothing to show for it. Perisic was excellent in Italy. Providing assists and goals.
Bissouma at Brighton was able to turn around play and transitions to attack with accuracy.
Lenglet and Romero had reputations as long ball specialists.
Richarlison has the work rate and movement to wreak havoc on defences and make room for Kane and Son.
Kulusevski has the skill to open up defences and find the runs of Kane and Son.
AND THEN
Bissouma, Kulu, Richarlison, Bentancuar - all injured.

no strategy re Hugo - needed long term replacement last summer not some freeby back up from Southampton.
