Still others are awakening to the reality that the good is growing ever more distant in the past.
And good for them. You know what really does affect me on here more than anything? It’s reading people on the Renewal thread that aren’t renewing because they are so disillusioned with the club right now. That’s not great to see. But it’s understandable that some people feel that way.

It’s also understandable that others want rid of the owners no matter what. Also others that want rid of the owners, but not for a state ownership. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. As I am mine. But some would have me banned as I’m not Levy Out. Grown fucking men. It’s very strange.

I don’t argue with anyone’s opinion of the club on here. I only argue when opinion is given as fact or if an agenda is being driven with lies.

And of course the reality is the good is growing ever more distant in the past. That’s what happens when you have a worse season than last. And if anyone thinks the present owners can’t bring the good times back, that’s fine. I think they may be able to. That should be fine too.

I mean, fair play, think whatever you want to think.

My advice would be to let your actual analysis of reality drive your view of the situation more strongly than your feelings about the personalities and tone in this internet thread.

If you think that’s what I’m doing, I’m not really that bothered about engaging further. Appreciate the advice though, even though it’s far from needed.

Couldn’t agree more, although I have a feeling we are talking about different groups here. Critical thinking does lack as there seems to be a huge amount of credence given to “it’s been typed out on Twitter, so it must be true”.

Critical thinking doesn’t mean posting opinion as fact. It doesn’t mean thinking you know what is happening at the club. Or what is in Levy’s mind. What our transfer plans are etc.

What I see on here is:

Levy lacks ambition.
He’s still too involved in football matters.
Kane is leaving in the summer.
We are in danger of relegation.
Some banter about Beyoncé of GoKarts.

Stuff like this isn’t even thinking. It’s just repeatedly posting to get half a dozen likes or funnies from the gang. The need for acceptance.

Others see the good and the bad. You are one of these. I feel I’m another. I’m not admitting to being wrong as I don’t think I am. Yet. I may be. I may not be. Fuck knows. But I’m not going to let posters on here, folk on Twitter or ropey journalists change my mind.
The feeling you have that we are talking about different groups is probably because you believe I am opposed to your position, unless you mean different groups of people outside of football?

If that's the case then, I guess I am referring to all matters when it comes to the "pick a side" mentality.

My position is simply that both sides of this debate have a tendency to resort to extremism, it's very political (well MOST debates are now) where people pick a side and refuse to move from that position.

There are people inbetween who look at evidence from both sides and agree with some things and disagree with others, more often than not, the people from the extreme sides accuse them of sitting on the fence because they aren't indulging in reactionary rhetoric.

Then you have people who behave as if they are impartial but actually they are on a side but don't want to seem like they are part of the extremist mentality.

I don't believe everything I read about the club personally but the truth is, we have enough evidence to suggest, at the bare minimum, that we currently are not doing good at a boardroom level, that is indicated by the current performance of the club.

I would also argue we have enough evidence to suggest that Daniel Levy is the reason why we continue to make mistakes and poor decisions on the football side of the club, he himself has taken full blame.

Now it's my opinion, not fact, that it's because of his ego and inability to let go of control that is the defining reason behind our current and seemingly continued failure.

That is an opinion that can be argued, the other positions however I believe we have enough evidence to suggest they are factual.

Obviously the relegation talk and the other matters you mention are opinion based, although again I would argue should not be dismissed entirely as ridiculous assumptions because anything can happen in football and if the current downwards trend of recruitment and poor results continue who knows, it seems very unlikely however imo.

That's fair enough and I appreciate you saying that and I feel you are one of those posters as well.

Personally I have my times, just like you, where I get upset at something I consider to be a ridiculous position but then I also realise my position may be equally as ridiculous, I just can't see it because of bias etc.

I think Levy is the problem, you're aware of that but the truth is in a perfect world I would like him to fix the mistakes being made, I just don't think he has the ability to do it anymore, once upon a time maybe but not anymore.

That being said, I could be wrong and if I am then I welcome it because it means the club will be trending in the right direction again.

I think people have been prone to doing that though from both sides, you see it even in politics all the time, people picking the personality and not the policies.

Sometimes if we really dislike someone and the way they approach conversation or debate or we simply disagree with their opinions so strongly it can actually taint our own perception of factual reality.

I have been guilty of it in the past, I am pretty sure everyone has, once you notice the pattern and seperate the two things it can have a huge impact on our response to information.

Not saying that's what you're doing but I am simply saying, it does happen.

Appreciate all that Incomplete_usernam Incomplete_usernam . 👍
No problem mate, we might not agree on everything regarding how the club moves forward (actually think we may have a lot more in common on this than not tbh) but I can respect your position and I know you love the club and just want the best for it.

First and only non league club to win the FA Cup.

First club to win a modern era double.

First club in Britain to win a European Trophy.

The First English club to win the UEFA cup

First team to win 8 successive major cup finals.

First club to win the 2nd Division and then immediately win the 1st Division in the second season.

A seventh place finish here and there does not distract from this great club and it’s history of firsts.

…If you know your history 👍
Thanks was going to answer but you have answered it so much better.

Fuck off you boring stupid jock .
Your self righteous bollocks is turning you bitter and demented . Being here 24 seven is no good for your limited brain cells
Go and stick a haggis up your arse ,it will give more satisfaction than sucking Levy's cock.

We need rich owners.

That is how you win in modern football.

Fuck Levy's projects.

He's been winning for 22 years.

It's our time now.
That's the thing you either get super rich sugar daddy owners or you have to over perform your spend as we did under poch.

It's not all about money though the club has to get the decisions right.

Man City have especially under Pep.

Chelsea this year certainly have not.

Man U arguably the biggest club in the
UK have not won a title since Fergie (10 years) even though they have spent loads & have won cups.

Our st holders were very helpful and put big standard tickets on StubHub at £200 / £300 + for some matches. Which sold.

Then we went to Wembley and paid more money there.

Gave Levy all the information he needed ti charge super high prices and not need to get naming rights.
Makes me laugh when they say “Spurs family”.
If your family wants to take all your money of you all the time then they are great family members.
Interesting to see how supply and demand works out for him with no Kane and son though.

No European football next season will help him out as there will be less chances for members to go to matches. So expect a good uptake on tickets in the exchange if people need their spurs fix.

He’s got a captive audience. Maybe the Levy out noise will get louder but people are going to be paying a premium to shout that at him next season.
Yes the problem is there is a massive wait for season tickets if people don't renew others will simply fill the breach.

Organised protests would get the media involved & put more pressure on Enic more imho than people not renewing.

Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle were yoyo clubs before the money arrived.

Spurs need Qatar to climb above United, Woolwich and Liverpool.

Without that type of backing it looks as though Levy will be doing his best Gordon Brittas impression at the megadome while Mason (or Colin as Gordon refers to him) will continue the caretaker gig in between spying and grassing on the head of the department.

Here's a day in the life of Dan, Ryan and Donna.
