Who should we replace Son with?
Don’t know. I think he’s done, his all round game is awful. We keep Kane next year and I want someone to feed him, personally I would play Gill wide left over Son. He won’t score the half goals Son does but he works much harder, can beat a player and will drill balls across to Kane

No I don’t think things were going well.

But I also don’t think Levy leaving today makes things any better. Also not sure if ENIC selling makes things better either. Maybe they would. Thing is, I’m not going to say you are wrong to have an opinion. I’m not going to say you aren’t being realistic. It’s your opinion we’d be better off? Lovely stuff.

But this constant bullshit about people on here being paid by Levy, being bots, not understanding what’s happening, etc is getting very fucking tiresome indeed.

Here’s the dirty wee secret “you lot” may be unaware of - you could, just could, be wrong.
I don’t think I’ve ever accused anyone of getting paid by ENIC , I mean is it possible , of course . Does it happen , I really couldn’t care less. If it were the case , fair play to anyone .

Regarding will things get better . We all have a level of tolerance, you yourself said this summer window is huge & would probably turn you to having enough of ENIC if things go badly . I’m sure that’s not an instant reaction , it will be an accumulation of things over a period of time as you don’t seem to be an over reactionary chap. We all hope that finally the penny will drop for levy but recent history doesn’t really bode well

Off topic but never understood why we never tried Gil LWF with Perisic LWB. Perisic and Son both want to cut in from wide and took up the same positions. Gil staying wide left with Perisic cutting in, both technical and smart. Could have been a nightmare for defenders.

Could be but happy to take the risk and embrace change. We would do well to find a worse CEO than Levy so cool with him resigning and ENIC staying (with Levy selling his stake or taking the same hands off approach that Lewis does)

One option I’ve not thought about and is rarely mentioned, could they IPO and re list us on the stock market, potentially in the US?

Aye, we all have a level when we switch. But if or when I do, it won’t automatically make me correct and others be wrong.

I enjoy discussing Spurs on here, amongst many other things, but it’s becoming impossible as to have a discussion or debate, there needs to be understanding from both sides of the others point of view. It doesn’t happen in this thread or on this subject

And that’s a shame, as I feel I have to ignore a number of posters on here that may actually have good points to make, but are so entrenched in their being correct, it makes it impossible to communicate.

Look mate, I’m maybe just in a shit mood, maybe you are getting this because I’ve almost everyone else on this thread on ignore, but I just think it’s a shame you’d go to the “refusal to accept reality” level.

No fan of Perisic but see where u are coming from. Gill is absolutely a left midfielder, rather than an inverted attacker. His skills are reminscient of an old fashioned, hard working winger…. Up and down, can beat a man inside or out and cuts balls into the box (rather than being a 10+ goal threat)

He definitely is that now.

Played a couple games on the right for us that started to look like he was learning but more as an inverted 10 that ended up playing AM but coming in from the left. Eriksen did it for us sometimes.

Bottom line is Gil is technical, smart, and hard working. Can do most things on a football pitch and uses the ball well if you want to keep possession.

It’s not a refusal to accept reality. It’s those kind of statements that are so divisive and just don’t help.

You are in a group of posters on here that just know they are right. They know fuck all about what’s happened and what is presently happening within the club, yet at the same time are so convinced about their own position, they feel it appropriate to dig out anyone who doesn’t agree with their opinion. And that’s all it is, an opinion. And it just happens to be one I disagree with. Things is, I accept yours with a shrug and a fair enough.

The fucking sheer arrogance in a statement like “refusal to acknowledge reality” is breath-taking and whilst there many on here that I expect that from, you weren’t one of them.

You and your brethren may be correct in everything you say, but to not accept you may not be? Fucking hell…..

Are you suggesting a relativist stance? As in, one person's spurs reality is different to anothers?

My reality is I am paying £1300 a season to watch Spurs become a worse than pre ENIC, cluster fuck shit show.

What is yours?

No worries . I didn’t see it as “ getting it” at all .

I will add that reality was meant as where we are & in truth , it’s a bloody mess

What is your rationale for believing that Levy resigning/leaving his position and a new CEO being appointed (as one example of change) would not make anything better?

I am not saying you are wrong per se, but could you please explain it?
