ENIC In or ENIC Out

You are both right.

There are 'regime enthusiasts' who definitely appear to have an agenda to defend ENIC and Levy despite the increasing evidence that ENIC and Levy care more about money than they do about the football club winning trophies and the needs of the supporters.

There are also supporters who feel so strongly about the regime that they believe it is only an horrendous experience, such as relegation or financial meltdown that will change the direction of the club in respect of the ownership.

I believe a case can be made for both points of view and that, for now at least, the majority of supporters fall somewhere between these differing ideologies.

Spurs need to win something soon if Levy wants to remain as chairman.

I'm guessing he understands that.
Wow, someone who actually recognises that there are different ideologies and different points of view! You are a rare species around here, are you sure you belong in this thread? 😂 :)

(Well, obviously your 'positioning' of the two extremes above is heavily loaded against one and in favour of the other, but at least you do recognise that 'a case can be made for both points of view', which is more than one can usually get from many of the people in this thread... :) ).

A question on the last bit though:
"Spurs need to win something soon if Levy wants to remain as chairman. I'm guessing he understands that."
Why, what will happen if he either doesn't understand that, or doesn't care? (I don't think that's the case, but humour me here). Do you think the shareholders would oust him if the company (and it is of course a company, that is what he is chariman of) made record profits but continued to win no trophies? (I'm not trying to bait you here btw, I'm genuinely interest to know what you think on that topic, whether you think the fans genuinely have the power to remove him, or whether the board would ever remove him purely for lack of trophies etc).

Just seem like bog standard US equity type group. At 40% probably won’t make a difference to the football one way or another.

An investment company.

The irony.

Super league anyone??

They have a stake in Mclaren (I don't know if it's a majority stake). The president of Mclaren is from Bahrain though, I do remember that much. Also, Mclaren have been brilliantly led these past couple of years, but that's more to do with Zak Brown than with these guys.
Looking at their website they've also invested in football before. Augsburg is probably the biggest club in their portfolio in that regard.

And the X-Games.

Any investment would be a minority stake with Levy remaining chairman, controlling and micro managing every aspect of the club.

Probably a brilliant club to invest in if your ROI is the most important consideration. These won't be people pushing for on field success ahead of lining their pockets.

Nothing to get excited about.

They’ll be coming in to fund the hotel build. ENIC aren’t putting their own money in for that.
