ENIC In or ENIC Out

Not sure Levy would be overjoyed at this. If I owned a club (and wanted to get rich off the back of it), the last thing I’d want is season ticket holders. Generally locals, with knowledge of places to go to eat and drink before and after the match, rather than using the stadium outlets. If they were to do the SkyWalk or buy merch, they’ll do it maybe once a season. Whereas if the seat they have bought is used by twenty different people a season, that’s a load more “experiences” and a fuck tonne more merch being purchased.

Obviously, atmosphere probably takes a hit, but the financial difference between filling your stadium with season tickets or day trippers is enormous.

You'd want contracted income as well though - if it all turns to shit the season ticket holders are still committed for the rest of the season

You know what I need a rant....

I'm in no way an ENIC or Levy apologist, let us be completely clear on that.

However, I genuinely wish that the Spurs fans who constantly whine, moan and greet their eyes out over the ownership would just fuck off. You are worse than, more odious than they will ever be.

Fuck off and support City or Liverpool. Or PSG. Just get yourselves to fuck.

I don't know how long you've supported this club, but I would much rather be in the position we're in now than the day they took over. We were a mess of a club, going absolutely nowhere. Constant bottom half finishes. Dross manager after dross manager. Players like Gary Doherty, Moussa Saib and Chris Perry. We'd won two cups in nearly 2 decades before Enic. We've won one in their two decades, which isn't good enough of course, but hardly a stick to beat them with, given the two decades before.

They've built an amazing infrastructure. We've witnessed some great years with genuinely good teams. They've fell short at the final hurdle, how many times? That's not all on the board.

They have been tight with money at times, there's no doubt, but they've also backed managers more than some like to admit.

The Bale money, all back into the squad. Just a shame it was mostly wasted. Spent big on Tanguy and Gio lately. Same with Sanchez.

You're just a bunch of entitled wanks, who seem to have no idea where they have taken us as a club. They are far from perfect, but it could have been much worse.

Are they beyond criticism? - Are they hell, but the levels of abuse and the like are way beyond the reality.

So, once again, if you're not happy, go to fuck and start supporting Liverpool or something.

I always wonder what happened to this king.

I love the way you keep trying to bump this thread and keep it at the top of the board following every positive result 😆

Hey I think I'm the pro you and you're the anti me :)
Going back to the post by that king you quoted ......

Absolutely love the way he opened up with the mandatory disclaimer
*I'm in no way a Levy or ENIC apologist* before setting of on his rant😃

Another great line was that we shouldn't complain about 1 trophy in 2 decades considering the the 2 decades that went before.

Errr...the 2 decades before saw us win 5 major trophies🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆. :ange-facepalm:

An all time classic TFC post 😍

When we won those 5 trophies they were way more prestigious than the Carling Cup was in 2008 . That trophy does rank equally with the delightful Alan Sugar’s haul as chairman , although TBF to the old curmudgeon he achieved the same in 2/5th of the tenure of ENIC . Sugar would never have taken the club to be the financial powerhouse it is today though .

I think all members are technically on the waiting list now though?
So maybe 250k members, but offer all of them the chance to buy a season ticket and most wouldn't and don't want one.. They just want to go to the odd game.
It's been that way for at least the last five years. Most of the top 40k don't want a ticket (I'm in that bracket and I get offered one almost every year, although I didn't this year so either they've finally got the message or the churn was much lower than usual). I already pay for two STs so I don't want another thanks Daniel.

Think what state we were in under Sugar. Enic/Levy I believe always had a long-term plan for the club and right now it is starting to come to fruition. The revenue generated by the state of the art stadia will see a fair percentage feed back into the playing side, coz Levy knows you have to have a successful product to get a successful return. We are already seeing and have seen player purchases of between 60-70m and our wage structure has improved to the point we are now prepared to offer contracts of 8-10m a year plus bonuses. Sure we are not City, owned by a sovereign state or Chelsea owned by a complete wanker, giveing out 7 year contracts and spending a billion£ and putting the club in debt just to get top 4. Enic's stewardship for me has by and large been laudable, although I have to end on a negative and say I am still pissed off that Levy didn't back Poch when everyone and his dog knew it was the right time to do so!

They are cutting costs - how is the wage structure improving? It’s being lowered
