But he will still be an idiot where football is concerned, he has proven many times he is incapable of learning from mistakes . Just cos he has a bigger budget with other peoples money will not give him greater understanding of the on field needs . If he does stay on hopefully it’s to top up the oil in the go karts
Not sure why they would want him to stay on and be involved with the football side , let him manage the new hotels and look after the business aspect

The big one IMO will be cultural. If he's just a CEO of the business and not a big boss owner, who will be signing the cheques and the holding the final say on things? Atm players and agents all know that managers and DOFs come and go but if you want something you go to Daniel. If he's just a member of staff, will they be going straight to the Sheikh and will the Sheikh be more ruthless with any underachievers in his employ?

They want us to compete for the league and champions league …

The first summer transfer window will be fun with Qatari investors.
The excitement and anticipation would be fucking awesome. After the staleness and drudgery of recent years the whole fan base would be united and bouncing together.

And just imagine the fear and trepidation coursing through the veins of gooners and chavs everywhere .....

Oh God....I can't handle this

Maybe it’s just me over thinking it but can you really see a Club with such Jewish roots doing a deal with Saudi investors?
Qatar and Saudi are obviously not the same country. But they share the same issues with Judaism.

On paper it should be a no go. But we are in the age of ultra capitalism so stuff like religion will not stop a deal if there is money to be made.

I honestly don't think it makes the slightest bit of difference. We're not a Jewish club. We're an English club with a strong Jewish following.
Don't forget, a club and its fanbase with anti semitic roots welcomed Roman Abramovich with open arms so it kind of works both ways.

Surely the point being made is that if Levy continues in his role, why would increased revenues mean a change in M.O?

There is nothing to suggest he would do anything different I.e. continue to maximise dividends for shareholders with the soccer side of the business still run on a tight budget for salaries, recruitment policy etc.
Shareholders don't get dividends. I haven't had any anyway.

Not sure the issues are with Judaism itself but rather the state of Israel.
It's more of a political thing than a racial / religious thing which is why I genuinely believe it's a non issue when it comes to any potential purchase of Spurs

Removing the whole moral discussion in regards to Qatari/oil money. It would on paper be interesting to see if Levy becomes more ambitious without Lewis or not. Because I assume that at least some of the focus on financial stability also comes from above Daniel.

The other question is if the new (I assume part)owners will put more football people at board level to compliment the business people that Levy has surrounded himself with.
The sole reason I can see that new owners would keep Levy is for “continuity”.
But as he is the butt of everyone’s spite and anger, it makes little sense to me to keep on a universally unpopular figurehead.
I dunno. Maybe they would keep him whilst they steady the ship and then pay him off?
Maybe they like the business model (& therefore want to max that out -again possibly at the expense of the team?)
A change can only be for the good if the financial constraints around the football team are relieved rather than the stadium simply becoming a Qatari entertainment complex.
More concerts, boxing, rugby and NFL might even mean that we have to book a time slot for our matches within the entertainment complex.
I’d like a brand new arse rather than keep looking at the same cheeks at different angles.
