Keeping Ange for ten games would not have been an emotional decision without any reason, and secondly emotions are sometimes there because of reasons. E.g. Winning a trophy is a valid reason as much as it is an emotional experience. Frank not having any European pedigree is also a rational reason. Moreover, needing better substitute players to improve domestically regardless of the manager, and it costing more to prematurely sack a manager - these are all rational reasons. Ange delivering on what he says is another reason, and him promising better PL form next season, and so on...
Also, to keep saying, "We should like to express our gratitude to him" is confusing. Apparently it is correct grammatically, but surely it means more to simply say, "We express our gratitude to him". Apparently "We should like" is showing duty more than "We would like" which is showing desire. However, what is wrong with just doing the thing as opposed to "would" or "should". Feels like corporate doublespeak. I should like to think it isn't.
