If a takeover is happening which I seriously doubt surely they will want to install their own Manager and it would have made sense to keep Ange. All the comments about Frank being a man that would accept cheaper players do not make sense. He could be sacked as soon as the takeover takes place. With this Manager choice and Davies staying indicates ENIC are here for a while yet.

What your saying makes absolute sense.
Thanks for ruining my evening.

Not so sure about a total sale or the Petronas stuff (pretty sure mainstream would have more about it if true), but the appointment of the banker into the board makes me think an investor might be coming into the frame or Lewis is trying harder to push a sale.
It's becoming pretty clear the Lewis family are pushing for a sale, with Levy probably proving to be a hindrance.

And they will undoubtedly have noticed the unprecedented "Levy Out" protests last season and flagged the negative impact on the brand caused by the widespread mainstream media coverage.

I'm guessing (hoping) that planting their new guy in the gaffe is the first step to usurping Levy from his position to
a) prevent further damage from the protests flaring up again
and b) clear the way for the sale of the club

Joe Lewis is hardly a stranger to negative PR himself
