Wonder if we were still at WHL would Levy be any different ?,as the bigger ground etc has made no difference to the playing side .I know he was chairman when we were there but might have been a better chance he would have buzzed off as massive revenue streams were not likely in the old ground .

Yet again, there’s a complete failure to attract any external investment or minority share sales to actually create some form of transfer fund.

Sell before we buy, self sustainment isn’t getting us anywhere. We need a one time cash boost like Chelsea did to bring 7 or 8 players for around 500-750M, that either develop or can be quickly churned to fund future purchases.

We have the financial base to self sustain after that, Chelsea need continued, ongoing injections. If 7 new players were all on 100K pw, we would still have a wage to revenue bill less than 50%, miles below others so comfortably without risk

Why doesn’t Levy see this? He has no vision, no ambition. His strategy is so flawed

Even if by some quirk of the Universe Enic and Levy leave, what will the new owners do?

After having spent an absurd sum of money, are they then going to go and spend even more to compete with the Arab states to buy the players needed to win league and Euro titles?

For what benefit to them?

I fear they will want ROI- for the Arabs its about the promotion of their nations and their place in the world especially after the oil runs out.

I fear more of the same for this club even if Enic and Levy are gone, because it would be investment that is already doing nicely and why would they risk that?
It'll be a multi billion purchase, they're not going to just not do anything. If you're spending that money on a club, You're going to spend big. This isn't 10/15 years ago.

Whoever we get will be better than ENIC.

Agree with this. It’s moved on and you don’t acquire a multi billion dollar without a plan. It’s almost has to be an Oil state that wants to invest in long term infrastructure in London, FC but more importantly real estate and local area transformation

I don't think L'vy realises the importance of letting new signings have a pre season with their new side.

Simply looks at paying them for games, so why bring them in and pay them 8 weeks salary that could be saved by bringing them in the night before the season starts?

Except this simply depends on the players.

VDV hit the ground running for us when he arrived, as did Bentancur and Kulusevski.

Some it takes time, others it doesn't.

Someone made sn interesting point on some YouTube chat thing

Levy has said that since the stadium move they’ve spent £700m on players

How many of those players would you be gutted to see leave ?

Our transfer policy has been & is bobbins

£700m & I’m struggling to name 2.

And how many of those players would any other club want? We have wasted millions over the years, to go backwards. That's what Levy's leadership has led to.
