ENIC In or ENIC Out

We ain’t getting an elite manager like Alonso sadly, Poch will most likely be far better than any alternative we can get and gambling with nobodies is getting dangerous now, could end up risking relegation.
So you would be happy to go back to chasing the top 4 non trophy? I prefer winning a competition like last year but without the poor league form.

It feels somewhat inevitable that ENIC will allow the club and Frank to limp through the rest of the season and then sack him for Poch.

And then, just like every other time, they won’t really back him. I mean properly back him. And we will be nowhere nearer salvation.

I was just looking at the minutes from the Fan Advisory Board Meeting in December. This stuck out:

"Club will be alert to opportunities in January to strengthen, but also realistic as we know January is a challenging window to trade in"

"alert to opportunities"

The same old discount bin strategy. A club with our financial position should be identifying targets well in advance and paying what's needed.

Another couple of gems:

"VV outlined that Ownership are focused on supporting and backing us to deliver success, which is a good position to be in but we cannot forget about the financial regulatory rules.

He explained that the Club is not immune from these rules, having not made a profitsince 2019 and having made significant losses since then compared to other PremierLeague Clubs. This means we need to buy and sell well, and be disciplined, as well as grow our revenues"

Business as usual under these clowns. Most of our "loss" is offsetting Stadium depreciation it's not a tangible loss.

Do all the other "football" clubs sound more like an accountancy firm than a passionate sporting institution?

Going back to a Manager that failed in the past would just show they lack any ambition but to just qualify for the CL. I want a Manager that wins things and gets a respectable League position. Yes we need to be in Europe but not just for the money. Glory before money.

I can reel off all the years we won something but Poch was not involved in any of them.
How on earth did Poch fail? I hate this narrative so much, we were the best we’ve been since the 60s under Poch, haven’t been close to the level since - but he failed? The manager that brought our highest standard of football that can only be eclipsed by our title and European cup winners in the 60s, Poch failed?

He didn’t have the highest wage budget, highest transfer budget (we signed nobody for 18 bloody months!)

Where are the players now that we signed for him after those 18 months?

The man went on TV telling us clearly we needed a painful rebuild, how we needed big ballsy signings that matched our ambition and new stadium. That summer after the champions league final, we could’ve genuinely signed 99% of the players in the world.

We didn’t back Poch and Levy thought Jose was better. Bring Jose in to get us over the line. Now where are we?

But Poch failed??? Not a chance

It’s not failure to not win the league or champions league with the team with the 6th highest budget in the league. By all accounts he was a success

This narrative needs to stop that Poch failed - WE WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE CONVERSATION FOR LEAGUE WINNERS OR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS IN THE FIRST PLACE

The entitlement of some people is crazy

Wednesday night players arguing with fans was a disgrace and bad PR. Board should be ashamed of that imo. Players are frustrated we are being run by amateurs. Nice bloke etc and good professional but im baffled why players like davies are at the club. If it was a veteran maldini i can understand that but seriously? We need fresh ideas at the top so the board need to sell up. Wednesday night was totally unacceptable. Amateurish.

It wasn't a failure but I also wouldn't describe it as a success.

You, Sir, will always have a seat at my table for that post. Always.

Friggin respect and much love to you. Top man.

So in order to be classed as successful at Spurs you need to win a league or champions league?

Or is it just a cup, so FA Cup or Europa League are acceptable and successful? If a Europa or FA cup means you’re successful but league positions aren’t that high, then Ange was a success but Poch wasn’t?

Or if you insist it’s only Leagues and Champs League you class as being a success, then your standard is just too high for what we are and our competition.

Wages, budgets, what you spend on transfers will always by and large be the biggest factor on how successful a team should be. If we’re the 6th biggest, then anything above 6 should’ve been on paper a success, because we’re competing against bigger fish financially.
Add the champions league where we have the European giants aswell and we should’ve never been near a champions league final.

Absolutely getting us to a champions league final and finishing 3rd twice and 2nd once can be classed as successful.

Why do you think PSG wanted him?

He won nothing. You lack ambition if you just want to go back to the chase for the Top 4 non trophy. He had no where near the success of Nicholson, Burkinshaw & Venables. Appointing him would be a backward step. We need to identify someone better. Not someone with a high reputation like Mourinho & Conte as we know that does not work but someone better.

Poch will be unavailable until the US are out of the World Cup and then will need a break. If the US get knocked out early it shows his lack of ability and if they exceed expectations then by the time he is available we will have lost the chance to bring in the best players as they will have already gone elsewhere and without a Manager we will be unable to attract anyone.

"alert to opportunities"

We’ve made huge losses. We still owe £300m on previous transfers.

Where has the money from the new stadium gone?

We were told that it would be a financial game changer. And I believed that. Why wouldn’t i? Twice the capacity, so many non football related activities. We should be swimming in gold coins like Scrooge McDuck.

Where the fucking fuck are my gold coins?

9 days into a usually difficult window to trade in.... New heads of the the club first window...

And because we haven't signed all the top players in Europe immediately... Everything is shit.

Crying like spoiled children.

Give them a few window and see what's what.

Regarding the £150m war chest.

I've been looking online for evidence to support the narrative in the media and it seems multiple media outlets track back to this source in The Sun but beyond the headline there's nothing, no quotes from the club, just nothing.
