There was a window of opportunity with Paul Mitchell in 2014, and another one with Gabbiannini in 2023.
Paul Hawksbee on TalkSport has also had enough by the sound of him. He held back from a massive rant but only just.
I think we all agree the football team is not in a good position. Now a lot of this has been built up over a few years.
1 Lack of home grown players. Since we sold Kane, Skipp & Winks, no one has come through. Moore debuted last season and started well but fizzled out and is on loan. However this is nowhere near good enough and we must improve. I am not an expert on the rules but if to achieve that we need to keep our best prospects rather than send them on loan then we must do that. I understand it will improve with Bergvale & Gray qualifying soon. The people responsible for this mess are no longer at the club including previous Managers & Levy.
2 The lack of cover at LB. The numbers in the squad limit us but we should have had cover from the academy but there is not. I do not know who plays that position in the senior kids team but if he is not good enough then why not try out a better prospect as this weakness has been known for some time. Looks as if it will be solved by signing Robertson from Liverpool in the summer Ona free.
3 injuries. We all thought the problem was Ange but whilst a couple of long term injuries were in his time the problem persists. We keep hearing about changes in the medical team. I really do not understand how we solve this.
4 improving the standard of the team. Money is there and they now seem to recognise that they need to increase the wages for the right player. Clearly mistakes have been made in the past with recruitment as happens everywhere but also whilst we are low down in the league the top players when given an option of say MC will opt for them every time. It is chicken & egg, we need to improve our results to attract the right players and yet without the top players we need luck with recruitment like VDV who has exceeded expectations.
5 Management I understood Frank’s appointment and he had a good track record. Keep swapping Managers does not work and yet is he the right one and how long do we persist with him? Can we attract someone better? We need the Manager in place early in the transfer window and him involved in recruitment. I think the results over the next couple of weeks or months will bring it to a head.
Now whilst ENIC’s representatives cannot escape criticism, they have changed the decision makers and the decision to sell is all theirs. There is nothing they can do to improve the position before the summer with the window closed other than deciding on the Manager position. If and i do not believe it will happen we get relegated the value of their investment will go down. I have supported the club for over 60 years and that will not change. Will new owners bring us success ? No idea.

Whether you like Thomas Frank or not he’s been hung out to dry in this window . How can any manager cope with such an injury ravaged squad . Sure he’s made mistakes bad mistakes but he needed help in this window and at worst a few loans . He didn’t even get that . The cowards wheeled out Vinai with Levy together saying how he was the perfect choice for the job and how he would be backed and how he would help bring players through from the academy . After a pretty disastrous spell Enic wheel out Vinai again in the midst of a protest ( half hearted at that ) to come out with “ how the wage structure would change “ and how extremely ambitious the owners are . He also said that they have full faith in Frank and again how he would be backed . The truth of the matter is Frank could have been sacked before but the board didn’t sack him because firstly they had no plan b OR maybe he was just the type of yes man they wanted . A yes man who continually said when questioned about transfers that “ the board , Vinai and Lange were working extremely hard to bring players in “. Well I could be wrong about the plan b as IF Frank goes before the end of the season Hettinga will step in as interim . Yes you can say Frank lied but I just think he is a yes man who didn’t want to ruffle the feathers of those cowards at the top . Frank is a good man but he won’t get a bigger job than this so has to keep professional as to not have a go at the board who are paying him 8 million a year . Well he will get sacked now because he certainly won’t be manager next season and only then will he finally realise what cowards these cretins are . Just for the record I don’t want Frank to be manager next season but he has been treated like the weak man he is . A yes man who kept praising them who will be out on his arse soon . These people are vultures who prey on the weak and Frank is certainly that. The fact these penny pinching parasites didn’t do hardly anything in this window after saying they would give a 100m cash injection to the 50m before tells you everything you need to know . Let’s not also forget the 42.5m they picked up from getting to the last 16 of the champions league. Where is all this money going towards ? Sold Brennan got in Gallagher for roughly the same money .AGAIN where has all that money gone ? In their extremely deep pockets that’s where .They don’t give a toss and Tottenham is less important to them than the concerts and the other sporting events such as boxing and NFL . This is why they built the stadium not because lying Levy led us to believe ( not me ) that the stadium would be a game changer that would enable us to compete financially with the biggest clubs in Europe . The cowards will obviously try the charm offensive by bringing Poch back to try to win over the fans but they will only win over the delusional and gullible ones. Obviously I could well be wrong and the greedy cretins could be looking to sell . Maybe I myself am being delusional that they will sell BUT it’s an outcome I would completely take . Yesterday should have been the final straw for every sane Tottenham fan but unfortunately there are the odd few idiots who think we are being toxic and not looking at the bigger picture but can’t tell you what that bigger picture is .These money grabbing scumbags should have been forced out aggressively years ago . In hindsight. Forcing Levy out after the trophy was a bad move. He wouldn't have pushed on towards a league title or anything like that but he would not have allowed stagnation to this degree.
