Most of those players where never seen as needle movers before they where coached properly and put into a good system that favoured their strengths and covered their weaknesses. A lot of them were actually deadwood to be sold off at points.
On paper we have some absolute exceptional young players in Xavi, Odobert, Vuskovic, Moore, Bergvall, Gray as well as a decent bunch of seniors like Maddison. What we don’t have is a set up that wants to use them properly. This ain’t saying we don’t need more players, we clearly need an elite wing forward and deep lying passer but our play patterns, how we move as a unit is terrible and that is a a manager not a player issue.
As a club we have gone from an attacking extremist to a poor Nuno clone. The club culture is as bad as it’s been if not worse than the mid 90’s. A proper coach with the club buying a few top players into our weakest positions and we could be moving in a very different direction.
The one exception is Kane. He was a unicorn, Xavi could become as good or better than Eriksen or Dele, he is already a more rounded type of player than both of them. Kane however was something different, a genuine out and out world class footballer and not replaceable. It’s not the Eriksen or Toby level we can’t replace, we can replace and we have, it’s the Kane/Bale/Modric level players that come once a blue moon that is the issue.
Kudus makes a reported £150k pw. He's not signing for less than that if he comes. That's a big salary. Agree on profile of player though, but I expect more shit thrown at the wall as usual.

And Lewis kids, have had 1 Jan window to fix the club after years of poor decision under the Levy regime.
Their is a great rewriting of history, going on from the Levy fan boi's, desperate to absolve Levy of the mess he left us in.
I agree and it's pretty clear for all to see. Probably another reason to take a job somehwere else if your role was to buy players but the owners don't want to spend any money.

According to Frank we can't judge ENIC based on winter window, we have to wait until the summer window oh and then the next winter window.
But wouldn't the next winter window have the same issues as the winter window we just had?
So does this mean we only judge them by the summer windows? If that's the case can we not just judge them by the past 24 of them?!?! Is that enough of a sample size!?

This is what annoys me about this supposed 'rebranding' they've literally owned the club since 2001, how many times did we see old man Joe or any of his family members rock up to the stadium or show any sort of interest in the club, how much of their own money did they actually put in the club? This re-writing of history is hilarious.
Bale, Modric, Dembele, Son, Eriksen , Vertonghen, Walker, Dele, yes we have signed some awful players over the years.
Ffs I'm utterly fed up of seeing manager after manager say this nonsense. They suggest we have patience.
They don't have the bandwidth to understand the fans have been watching the club make the same mistakes over and over again for years, way before they stepped foot in the door.
How about you have patience with the fan unrest Frank, because if you bothered to research the modern history of this club you would understand exactly why the fans are frustrated.
