ENIC In or ENIC Out

Have these investors any knowledge of Football or like ENIC will have to find someone to run the football side of things and replace those we now have. However that does not mean they will be better because many thought that get rid of Levy and it would be better.

No one that has the money to buy a PL team has any sort of deep knowledge on how to run a team. These types of people dedicate their lives to earning and making money, not football.

Well, when Stevely came to Newcastle they were relegation fodder, the next, they were in the CL spots.

It's sportawashing. They're not going to buy us and not put the best people in place. They'll use us to promote whatever Petro state it is, and they do that through success a la City and PSG. Easier to turn us into a powerhouse than Newcastle because of our revenue as well. If, big of, we get bought out by someone she's connected with, we'll be dining at the top table. The trade off is the moral stand point.

I'd imagine Stavely would do what she did at Newcastle, hire football people.

I'm afraid I'd rather roll the dice on the chance she does have the ability to hire the right people than give ENIC another chance to prove they don't.

Levy wants a billion pounds for his stake.

That is why Spurs are in purgatory.

No he doesn't, and no it isn't. The only thing he's said, through Jordan, is that no one has offered anything and that anyone talking about it is not judged to be credible.

But his stake is in ENIC, he doesn't directly own any of Spurs.

Unless it's ENIC itself for sale then I don't see how Levy's stake in ENIC matters

Exactly

Report

And having looked at a sizeable club in which to plunge her and husband, Ghodoussi’s, sizeable wealth into, it has been reported that they have struggling Tottenham Hotspur firmly in their crosshairs.

However, despite a broad agreement on the terms having been discussed, sources can now reveal that the prospective takeover deal has hit a significant roadblock.

The family of Joe Lewis, Tottenham’s former owner, who passed stewardship to the Lewis Family Trust, have had second thoughts about relinquishing ownership of the club, which they have held a majority stake in since 2001.

This hesitation has caused the move to stall, leaving Staveley’s company, PCP Capital Partners, waiting for a positive response.

With the finances in place and a clear ambition to proceed, we have been told that Staveley and Ghodoussi are prepared to look at other opportunities if the situation does not resolve soon.

Sources suggest that while Tottenham remains the priority, the duo’s appetite for top-flight football investment means they will not wait indefinitely for the Lewis family to make a final decision.

Newcastle is 12th, and, honestly, I think they're a fair bet to be relegated within a decade.

The ladder has been pulled up behind the financial dopers. There's no way to pull a Chelsea or City any more. The point of FFP/PSR isn't to level the playing field, its to keep anyone from crashing the club.

Happy to have new owners, but hope its not an oil state.
