ENIC In or ENIC Out

There are no players that should be out of our price range, maybe some that won't choose to come here but not out of our price range.
We have been categorically unwilling to spend at the level that would reach the upper limit of players willing to play for us, which blunts the impact of our investments in facilities. Definitely a worthy critique of the ENIC strategy.

Why are we willing to spare no expense for the Spurs Lodge but not for its occupants?

I am aware that when you post something laughable like you did LOL is the only response.

Translation: I'm out of your league.

You didn't correct anything.

Yes I did. I'm correcting you now too.

I did it certainly was far from a classic winning season and they had a ton of things go right for them but it as a 38 game season and they won the league by 10 points, and 11 over us, so not exactly like it was a tight fluke win.

You just described why it was a fluke win. Try to pay attention to your own words...

Again no it isn't. You don't just ignore the results you don't like.

Again yes it is. You just can't answer the results YOU don't like. You're quite boring you know.

So 3 seasons and in the 2nd season they were 2 points behind so not exactly lagging behind. I was paying attention. They did what Levy won't do and many fans wished we would do and certainly could do.

They were multiple places behind, in multiple seasons. Are you ignoring all the results you don't like again? 😅😅

Challenged for the title is a stretch

No it's a fact. This is me correcting you again.

and made it to one CL final is borderline

No it's pretty fucking elite. Again, this is me correcting you.

No says Paul Mitchell:

Who is one guy, and is doing what, now?

And did you not see Poch fired? Did you think he left because he loved Levy so much?

Yes I remember all you fuckwits demanding that Levy fire him,, because you wouldn't listen to reason by orople like me. Thanks for that.

What does relegation battles have to do with us not being in the ECL?

Because being in relegation battles is not challenging for the title and the CL with an elite squad. You really need to pay more attention.

Lets take a look at past Champions and see how many had European games versus not. I am sure that will go well for your argument.

It certainly helps out my argument that Leicester were a fluke, clever clogs. 😅😅

The others won, as I have said a dozen times, because they are super rich and we are not. Pay attention.

All the players in our elite squad and the best stadium in the land. Pay attention, even to the bits you don't like.

We have the biggest FFP space in the league because of the lack of investment in the squad.

No because of investment in a stadium.

But lets hear about all the great infrastructure they have built for us that has done nothing for success on the stadium

Except make us more successful by challenging for titles and the CL...

I am paying attention to your "argument" it is just a shit argument.

Only because you keep on ignoring the facts you don't like and don't pay attention.

Considering how often you contradict your own argument I think it is you that does not understand.

That's because you don't pay attention. 🙄

See the problem here?

Like to the extent your point is that it's not possible for a club to organically compete with the fully functional Pep City machine, fair enough, but that's a pretty banal observation.

The discussion in the other thread is whether we can even bring in any player at all to cover Kane at striker.

And my question is: who do you want?

We do actually keep bringing in strikers. They just don't work out because none of them are as good as Kane and all the ones who are, are out of our price range.

"CL Final" is plugging a hole in your argument where a far dimmer reality actually sits.

It's just the appropriate answer to: what did we get for ENIC'S investment?

Imagine we didn't concede a 1st minute penalty and won that game. Would the European Cup have been worth it?

That's how close we came. That's how good we were.

Oop, here we go again with you not understanding what you are bleating about...

There are no players that should be out of our price range,

That's the most fucking ridiculous thing you have thus far said.

And fucking Leicester won the FA Cup last year

Who cares? Did you honestly care when Woolwich won it 3 times in a row? Did that make them elite or was it just a consolation prize that the true elites were unbothered with?

what player do they have that is out of our price range or unattainable for us?

None. They just had a decent manager to prioritized it because Top 4 was beyond them.

Fucking Woolwich won it the year before what player on that team is beyond our ability to get.

This BS narrative that it is too hard or expensive for us to compete is pathetic and absolute horse shit.

No it's just a reality you dont seem to appreciate.

He's not a gooner, just has different opinions. I know a few very passionate/dedicated Spurs fans IRL who are very pro ENIC/Levy, people just have different values and expectations in life, it is what it is. Doesn't make any one fan better than the other.
This guy thinks we are gooners if we arent happy with enic and levy and talks about watching aftv . Something's not quite right with him.

We last purchased a center forward permanently in Summer 2017, Llorente. Almost five years ago.

Imagine we didn't concede a 1st minute penalty and won that game. Would the European Cup have been worth it?

That's how close we came. That's how good we were.
I mean, that particular team in that moment was dogshit and essentially had 4th place forced upon it in the league.

But the 2016-17 team really was incredible and genuinely challenged for the title, on the back of negative net spend no less. We then went two consecutive windows without a single signing and Poch is the only person who has faced accountability for that act of financial walking on water falling apart.

Asking to do that again under the same business practices is asking lightning to strike twice in the same place.

What we are building is a 6th place nearly-team. That matched our revenue potential and was a huge improvement on the Sugar years in 2006. It's treading water and mugging off ticket buyers today.

The ENIC project has reached the end of the line. It's a new level of investment or it's purgatory.

And brought in Carlos to try and be Kane's understudy. Is there a striker you feel would have been a good one to go for?

Dogshit doesn't beat City and Ajax in the CL.

I agree that Levy should have done something to help Poch out. That was a definite misstep.

Asking to do that again under the same business practices is asking lightning to strike twice in the same place.

I dunno. I feel like in Conte we've gotten the coach who could replicate that. Jose was supposed to, but, we saw how that worked out.

What we are building is a 6th place nearly-team.

I think we're rebuilding a Top 4 team who can try again. We just need to do well in the transfer market like we did before Poch came.

The ENIC project has reached the end of the line. It's a new level of investment or it's purgatory.

If so, then I maintain we will still have them to thank for being a well-oiled machine poised for silverware if someone can pump enough money into the squad.
