We disagree on the clubs commitment to winning.

You are satisfied they have made every effort possible and it’s not their fault that they’ve never got over the line to actually win things. I think they make excuses about why they can’t compete with Chelsea, UTD and Liverpool even though they are in the top 10 in the richest clubs in the world, even above Qatari state PSG. Especially when they charge some of the highest ticket prices in world football.

I don’t know if it makes you feel more intelligent to use LeTterS in your FunNy way to imply I’m stupid because I don’t agree with you? Maybe you feel like attempting to ridicule somebody with a different perspective makes other people believe you are right?
Boom!!!....

What a post 👏👏

You raise sone interesting point , maybe we overlook that in the uk . It does seem like a whole day thing in the states , the build up , tailgating . I guess Wembley can offer the build up outside the ground , as does the Allianz , they have space around it, our stadium doesn’t.
The fans are English. So this whole 'tailgate' party talk is empty headed. We do exactly the same things at football only we eat and drink in pubs in at and around the ground. Not getting carbonmonoxide poisoning in a carpark. Like some weird Yankee doggers (I say this with love).
Many of us on this site start Spurs game days with a fry up on route and get home after midnight.

Regards the pitch issues, the whole thing about pitches is the ongoing nature of the work. If there are problems they will redesign relay and fix it. We didn't build an NFL stadium for a one off contract.

Please quote where I said that they have made "every effort possible" to win things.

Or is that you just trying to twist things as you can't answer the facts ?

Chelsea, Utd, Woolwich, and Liverpool are above us in the "rich" rankings.
So that destroys that argument.

My use of FuNnY LeTtErS is to highlight your childish, unrealistic, total non understanding of finances stance.

All you keep saying is "Spend more money" and even used West Ham as an example, even though they are 16th in the table, as to how Spurs should be run.

I asked you previously how we would change things and your answer boiled down to "spend more money".

I stated that we are 3rd in spending over the last two years.
You disputed that, as you were obviously unaware of it.
You then came up with "why choose the last two years" when it's obvious to everyone that we had a brand new stadium waiting to be filled after covid. A stadium that produces 3 times the revenue of old WHL, and as such our spending has to be judged on our revenue.
Our revenue has increased, our spending have increased.
It really is that simple.

It's not my fault that is beyond your comprehension.

I'll ask you again, how do we compete financially with the clubs you mentioned ?
Clubs who are richer than us, and either have more revenue than us, or are oil clubs ?

Because people harp on about “ All the extra revenue “ , I believe you did too.. it’s minimal , we can’t even secure all NFL games in London , at what extra cost? The entertainment centre is struggling to attract entertainment. So many bands are touring yet we’ve secured 1 up until July. It’s kind of laughable. If it’s due to restricted events over a year then we have to put that down to lack of research by the powers that be.
16 extra events at @£1m per event equals £16m a year, but we shouldn't bother.

I can absolutely guarantee that more events will be added as the year goes on.
We did have the European Rugby final as well, but that was moved due to the late finish of the PL.

Let's not bother with naming rights either as that will only bring in, roughly, £10m a year.

We are going round in circles here.
Spurs finished 4th and have been out invested by the clubs competing with them this year. Instead of pushing on, they made a big song and dance about 150m then it turns out that’s to last 2 windows.

If you can’t compete with those clubs then why charge some of the highest ticket prices in world football?

If you can’t compete with those clubs why hire a manager that requires those type of budget levels and give the impression that you are going to compete with them?
150m over 2-3 windows is trying to win?
That’s 2 players for serious clubs trying to win.

We can't compete with those clubs because they are richer than us and produce more revenue.
Why can't you understand that very simple fact ?

As I said, you're whole argument is "spend more money", without any notion, and without caring where that money comes from.

I'll repeat, you'd be better off just posting "spend more money" in every message as that is your whole premise.
At least that way everyone will know what you're talking about.

Would you prefer to have had Leicester’s last ten years or ours . I would have preferred League title and FA cup triumph. They came from a far worse place in half the time , so forgive me for not thinking Levy has done a great job he has not .

As I said previously challenging for a league title and he gave Harry 36 year old New Zealand journeyman Ryan Nelsen and broken man of glass Saha , it says it all
If there’s one thing I hate about ENIC it’s how their mentality of not really caring about trophies has seeped into the fanbase. It’s what the whole sport is revolves around (beyond just seeing great players play). We play all these matches and buy these players and pay them the way they are in hopes of having the best chance at winning trophies!

They play this video before every home game, the first 28 seconds of which everyone you see is either holding a trophy, or at a trophy celebration. For fuck’s sake, the first line is “We are about the glory of the game” yet too many in our fanbase, and I suspect internally at the club will genuinely argue that they aren’t important.

There was a record we used to share with Man Utd; we were the only two clubs in England who had won at least one major trophy in every decade since the 50s. This was broken in the 2010s, and if it hadn’t been for Woodgate, that record would’ve been broken sooner.

“It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low” - Bill Nicholson.

“Spurs have got to be the best in the land, not the second best.” - Bill Nicholson.

“If you don’t win anything, you have had a bad season.” - you guessed it, Billy fucking Nicholson.

These are the values this club and fanbase should still hold, ENIC have just taught some of the fans that winning doesn’t matter. And it’s worked bc according to ENIC fans anyone who wants the owners to have ambition or sell to someone who does is a whining or a Woolwich fan or whatever. These fans will see the football rich lists come out, of which the club are always roughly top 10-15 globally and still try to push the myth that if the club tried to compete it would just result in doing a Leeds. What a shame really.

We find it difficult to compete with the the three English clubs you mention as whilst we are tenth in the world for finances, they are all above us. Plus Man City above us too. So we should be around 5th as par.

And if you think for one second PSG are below us in revenue or value, I’m not sure what to say to that. Except it’s bollocks.

One more thing that was mentioned in the previous posts was the oft quoted “we pay the highest ticket prices in the world”.

Let’s suggest that’s the case - would anyone who wants rid of ENIC be less indignant if ticket prices were reduced by say £20 a head?

Mate, you have ignored everything else in my post except “spend more money”.
I’m bored of going round the houses with you.

Because that's all you've been saying.

Spend more money to compete with the teams who've outspent us..... despite the fact that they are ranked richer than us.
Another thing you were obviously unaware of, or wouldn't have mentioned the top ten rich list.

If you're going to debate, do some research, and at least have a little knowledge of what you're talking about.

Absolute bollocks.

Another one who has no idea that we are 10th in the rich list behind ;

Chelsea
City
United
Liverpool
And Woolwich

But expects us to spend as much as them.

I know, it's madness.

We've the 6th highest revenue in the league.
Previously, we've had the 6th highest spend in the league.
Now , in the last two years, we've the 3rd highest spend.

And you still have people say "spend more money"

And the funniest thing is they use West Ham as an example.
West Ham who are shite and 16th in the league.
You couldn't make it up.
