Talking about Leicester I wonder how many Spurs fans would swap their lot for a title and FA cup, followed by a relegation battle?
Well less than a quarter of fans feel that a trophy is the priority. So I’d guess a minority.

There was a crazy guy on here last week trying to convince me Wigan fans were happier because they won an FA cup 11 years ago.

Some people have cotton wool in their heads.

Because they’re not enjoying the football. They are not impressed. If you heard them chanting COYS and drowning out the Levy out chants, you might have a case. But they’re not and more and more are joining in.

Like I said before, when the away fans are doing it - and these guys back the team whatever the weather - you know there’s something wrong.

If you choose to ignore all the media, the singing, the podcasts, then yes, you can ignore reality and substitute your own. But it’s still going to be there and it’s still growing.

This can all be turned around quickly with the right planning. Do ENIC have that ability? History says not. Fingers crossed they prove me wrong because I don’t see them going anywhere.

This doesn't make any sense?

Are you saying that if we were playing better football and the crowd were up for it and excited they'll be more ENIC out chants? I think you're a bit misguided about football fans, they're only vocal when the team is in a bad moments - when the team is winning and playing well no-one really cares about the owners whether they stay or not.

I mean you're welcome to take selective data and use that as a defence for your argument but the reality is that people are still tuning up for matches, not enough people are protesting and people are still happy to buy a load from merchandise from the club shop as paying the highest prices for their season tickets , that doesn't suggest a unhappy fanbase to me.

It’s not unrealistic to expect them to contribute something. Bloom has pumped in 350M of his own money to BHA and he has less assets than the tax dodging scumbag

It will help their asset retain its value too. The sale price is based on revenue (x8?) and ours will be less for next season than this season
This Bloom guy sounds great. What does he have to say about his investments?

« A lot of the investments I’ve put in are for the infrastructure: the stadium and the training ground and training ground enhancement, a lot of capital infrastructure that will be there for many decades to come. »

Ok great. Remind you of anyone?

Is Brighton self sufficient?

Absolutely not. They have posted big losses recently and required a 70m loan from Bloom recently to cover those losses.

Is that the only loan?

No… Bloom’s investment into the club comes in the form of £400m worth of interest free loans. That money will be repayable to bloom at some point through either a higher sale price or repayment by the next owner.

Please educate yourselves before you blOw yoUr loads on other clubs.

Posted on the match thread around 1.30ish yesterday, will repost here...

Update.

After a couple of quick pints in The Corner Pin, walked back past the protest.

Around 35-40 there now. Getting The Rabbi on a loudspeaker was a great idea, people are stopping to listen and more seem interested. This is a good move.👍🏻

Rabbi - "If you went to The Ritz or any posh London restaurant and they served you spam and corned beef - that's the same as what's happening in that stadium"

The support was still small, however, the point is that it's definitely double the amount normally there and people were becoming interested (due to the loudspeaker) - stopping and listening, reading the banners, etc.

Seems to me that the small acorn is finally starting to sprout.

Probably not. But they're a a much smaller club than Spurs.
A fraction of the fanbase. A fraction of the history. A fraction of our wealth.
No reason a club like Tottenham Hotspur shouldn't be challenging for titles and winning domestic trophies without suffering the ignominy a subsequent relegation battle.

Good grief. You've been on here defending these billionaire businessman who don't give a fuck about football, or you, all day again mate.
It's the weekend. Easter weekend for fuck sake!
Seriously mate, you must have issues. Give it a rest. It's abnormal

Oh look. Liverpool just scored :contefists:

Calm down mate, it's just an opposing opinion, no need to get in your feelings, chill out.

Sue me if I choose not to live in a delusional world about our club or our owners, I just deal in logic and facts, you deal in emotion and wishful thinking - I think you just ought to set your expectations and just get used to the fact that these guys are going nowhere, you'll enjoy your Tottenham experience much more. :)

I've seen that, based on resources we are 5th, which is fine and believable.
But it seems that, we are to accept that and not question, why Woolwich who, the last time I looked where behind us in the world's richest clubs list(albiet one place)
But while Woolwich have, underachieved in the league for several seasons, they are still able to pick up cups, and are looking likely to win the league this year.
Of all the clubs in the world top ten, our club is the only one that doesn't deliver, something clearly is missing.
If Woolwich do win it, this will be unbearable from a fans perspective, although it won't bother general Levy, who will be in his office, trying to find more ways of taking the supporters money from them with further price increases.

No, I’m saying that there was a large degree of disappointment, lethargy and even antipathy mixed in with the vocal faction who chanted ENIC out, hence the absence of atmosphere. And those particular chants will continue to get louder the longer this mess goes on.

I doubt people would care so much if Levy just stepped away from the football side of things and just let someone who knew what they were actually doing take control. But here he is, day after day; the non football fan fucking up the footballing side of a beautiful football club year after year like a fucking troll.

People won't care when we win that's the point, none of these fair weather fans care whether he steps away from the football side or is hands on, as long as the team is winning and playing well they'll be happy.

Those Levy out chants will need to be a bit more louder, vocal and longer than 10 seconds if fans really want to get their message across.

Win what? Lol.

A game. Not enough to drown it out, especially not yesterday’s tepid performance. 4th place? Not guaranteed to appease these days. A trophy? You’re having a laugh. One trophy in 23 years.

The nickname Loser Levy has stuck for a reason.

Matches mate.

The away fans were singing Lecy out not so long ago before we went and beat Chelsea and Man City and they died down and low and behold when we get into a rut they start again, if we put another run together you won't hear a peep.

This is the mindset of fickle fans and ours are no different.

It will get louder and louder as it becomes more frequent.

Levy cannot hide from this any longer.

He is going the same way as Sugar.

It will keep gathering pace until Spurs actually win something or ENIC do the right thing.

Utter wishful thinking, this fanbase is incredibly passive.

Anyway let's see - I'll be very surprised

You're dealing with a fanbase who were rejoicing at the fact we sacked a serial winner a weak before a cup final, this is not a fanbase that demands success or trophies, we might moan about it and get fed up from the ribbing of our rivals but there's no demand from our fans, playing high intensity front foot football will win a lot of them over and Levy will be the good guy again lol

So … if you think it through, they didn’t actually go away. It’s not been: brief rut then abracadabra and all is forgiven. This season’s been one long rut with mistake after mistake and only a token of a handful of games anyone could call fun and entertaining.

No one’s chanting negative shit after a decisive victory with quality football. Of course not. But we’ve heard those chants quite a lot in recent months. Why? Lack of quality football. Lack of direction from the board. Lack of an effective manager. Lack of effort from the players.

ENIC have lost the benefit of the doubt from many moderates this season Dan.

Woolwich have exposed ENIC for the frauds that they are.

Even the most 'level headed' Spurs supporter can see that Poch's Spurs team, 16 / 17, needed one or two quality players added to give a title challenge or trophy win a real go.

Woolwich dared to do and it has paid off.

Levy sold Walker, sacked Mitchell, began breaking up Poch's team and then sacked him.

He's fucked up and exposed.
