I’m yet to watch but he seems happy to do this yet not happy to sit down with a journalist and explain himself. I suspect if there’s any good bits it will be all over the internet soon.

“Tottenham has progressed enormously in that period. Not as much, as a fan, as we’d hope, but, hopefully the journey’s not over and we’re hoping we’re going to get that trophy, which we need”
[laughter from audience]

Longest car journey ever.

At 6:10 he says that we haven't progressed as much he hoped and say hopefully we'll get the trophy we need. Then he and the audience laughs. I hope his supporters who talk about the fans expectations being too high, take note.

Remember those words, we haven't progressed as much as he hoped.

The laughter was mocking the fans who are desperate for success.
What is the one trophy we need, it's all low risk and although I have not watched the clip, it seems as usual just mouth breathing.

"Knowing Daniel Levy I am not really surprised that Antonio Conte has left the club. In football you have to be diplomatic and it can end in parting ways if you say what you think," said Gallas.

"I personally feel that many people will have agreed with much of what Antonio Conte said after the draw at Southampton, including myself. Now I feel Tottenham could be in trouble in terms of qualifying for the Champions league. We will see if Daniel was right come the end of the season."

On that angry press conference, he added: "I think his answer, when he gave that interview, I think he gave that answer because people can criticise how he makes the players play - his tactics and system - I think he said something very interesting.

"He said ‘How many managers have managed Tottenham and how many times have Tottenham won the Premier League?’ That is a fact. A lot of different managers have trained the Spurs squads but in the end, they don’t have the results they want to get. That means they have to change something. They have to bring quality players to try and compete, to try and win the Premier League.

"Tottenham is always in the same position fighting for fourth or fifth place. The last time they were close to winning anything was when they went to the Champions League final in 2019. They went to the final, but they didn’t win it. They have finished runners-up once in the last ten years.

"Something has to change in the club for Tottenham to go to the level where they will be very difficult to beat. They have everything there. I’ve been there. They have the facilities - the training ground is just unbelievable - they have the stadium. There is something missing. I think they need to bring in the right players to have a squad that is capable of competing for the Premier League title. It is that simple.

"Sometimes it's difficult for people to hear the truth, because managers are expected to play the role of a diplomat. At the same time, people can blame Conte too because, like I said, it is his system, his tactics and he sets up the team to play in a certain way. I think, in this situation both sides have to take some responsibility."

On what comes next for Tottenham, the former defender says the next permanent manager must learn to manage what chairman Daniel Levy wants as much as his team.

"They have to find a manager that can deal with Daniel Levy!" he said. "The next manager that goes into Tottenham has to accept the situation at the club and, I wonder if the very top managers will. I’m not talking about money, I’m talking about the squad he will give to the next manager. Levy will say ‘that is the squad you will have this season, deal with it.’

"If Tottenham appoint a big manager, he will know after three training sessions that he needs better players. It is that simple. Some managers might think, ‘OK, I’m going to deal with Daniel Levy.’ Daniel Levy is a business guy, so that is the first thing the next manager of Tottenham needs to know."

When asked if he had any run-ins with Levy, Gallas said: "No, I had a good relationship with him. No problems at all."

Another insider giving us evidence of the lack of prioritisation of the playing squad.

Cue "he was let go so of course he is going to slate the ownership" comments

3......2......1...

It really scares me that the hobgoblin believes he has done everything right for 22 years and with just 1 mickey mouse cup to show for it, is all purely down to fate and doesn't reflect his or enic's ownership. Being completely oblivious to reality like that is a classic sign of a narcissist.
I think he's been on this forum and has seen the comments of Le Parisien regarding the club being in a better position in the table and financially (for now) and having a new stadium... I mean events arena.
There seems to be no comprehension of after 22 years with that being achieved, it really is time to move on and win shit to stop us being the joke club of the PL to the entire world bar a few blinkered wallies on here.

Gonna watch it it as delivery and context is usually key. Nothing he’s said there is too bad. It will be weaponised by those with loud opinions either way of course. But nothing for anyone to really get their knickers in a twist.

One amusing thing on the non sale though. It’s outed all those supposed itk merchants as complete bullshit artists as usual.

I'm only 5 minutes in and he's talking about how the interest in spurs was purely an investment opportunity.
