Club owners paying ‘fans’ to spin positive stories on social media and internet forums.

Since they’re mates with Daniel, did they learn from him or the other way around?

Guaranteed they also pay for negative comments about rival clubs.

Also guaranteed they buy positive media coverage for themselves and negative media coverage for rivals.

Wonder how many Prem clubs also do this. Pretty sure woolwich do when you see the orchestrated campaign to say it’s not a bottle job if they don’t win the Prem

I think some of the main spurs aggregators are set up by rival fans. They spread negativity and false news stories daily.

Just an idle thought as I try to work my brain through the unimaginability of Kane signing a new contract but also of Levy sanctioning a sale.

Of course, Tottenham would expect to receive a hefty transfer fee for one of the best strikers in the world at the peak of his powers. When Kane informed the club of his desire to join Manchester City in summer 2021, Spurs held out for £150m and no offers arrived.
Last summer, Tottenham owners ENIC invested £150m by way of a capital increase to fund their transfer plans, a short-term move taken in response to pressure from former head coach Conte to show greater ambition in the market.

Never saw those two figures juxtaposed like that before. Is it possible they're related? Is Kane leaving on a free already priced into the long-term plans?

Rest assured that our cloth is definitely being cut towards our means.

One of Levy’s conundrums is that in order to demonstrate ambition to keep Kane, he’d want to use money that…….he gets from selling Kane.

This Summer will be underwhelming.

By the way, did we ever spend that 150 million?

I'm increasingly convinced the plan is to sell Hugo, give Kane the armband, and essentially try to guilt him into staying.

But yeah, Dier and PEH will still be regular starters next year. We'll add a CB and some sort of 10.

By the way, did we ever spend that 150 million?
It's alleged that we did. Our total incoming exceeded that number. But does that mean in the absence of that investment the baseline was a net negative transfer spend?

There are a number of financial mysteries at Spurs that don't really map neatly onto Levy In/Levy Out.

Honestly if we lose Kane in the summer, we may become a freak relegation zone candidate next season. The fallout of losing Kane, losing those goals, a new manager, the fact that we are completely ordinary and weak in every position. It was literally Kane and to some degree Son carrying us the past few seasons since sacking Poch.

If that gets broken up, and with Son not getting any younger, wouldnt be surprised if we end up looking like Leicester or West Ham next season.

Buy a striker with potential.. if the new striker can't cope in the PL then Son can replace Kane as the striker, he did it before and did it well. We also have Richie who still hasn't shown his full potential with us.

Problem is our midfield and defense...

We need a creative midfielder who can pick out passes like Eriksen did for our forwards and we need to overhaul the whole defense.
