So the manager we just had didn’t want a player and the previous DOF never did a deal for that player.

Now we are without a manager or DOF and suddenly we are interested in that same player to the point of spending 50m on them without knowing if the next DOF sees that being the direction or knowing if the new manager will want to play that player ?

But at the same time you are confident enough to say you are just lecturing me in how clubs work.

Ok

You're tying yourself in knots because you are struggling to grasp how things work, as I said before Liverpool currently don't have a Sporting Director, do you think all footballing operations over there have stopped because they don't have a DOF in place. You think things have come to a standstill or do you think their board are on the lookout for a DOF like their previous one and one who fits their infrastructure?

You know once upon a time clubs didn't have Sporting Directors, before they bought in Sporting directors they had an idea about the culture and the philosophy of the club and the DOF followed suit.

You might think this is a lecture but it's just basic common sense, I think the reason you don't want to understand it is because you feel negative towards the club which is understandable however when you think about it it makes sense.

What are these numpties up to?

Still no DOF.

I agree it hasn't been communicated well to the fans.

As I understand it, Levy has stepped aside entirely from the footballing side of the club and will be focussed 100% on the commercial aspects of the club. Scott Munn has joined the ENIC board and has been recruited to lead the club on the pitch. His first job of course will be to recruit a DOF and Coach to work under him.

We clearly want somebody in place for both roles as quickly as possible once the season has concluded. There is no need in unsettling the dressing room any further whilst fixtures are remaining.

Many coaches/DOF's already in jobs will likely be contractually obliged not to negotiate with other clubs during the playing season.

Are we supposed to be upset about this instead of slightly proud if we gave a shit about the environment?
I think we're supposed to be proud, hence the announcement. But when the football side of the football club is managerless, rudderless, on a downward trajectory, suffering unprecedented humiliations on the pitch, and in the midst its longest trophy drought since World War 2 it comes across as ironic and, to be frank , borderline trolling.

Maybe concentrate on producing a winning football team first and foremost, yeah?

Ok
Well I for one am certainly proud 💪

And yet he'll disregard or piss over all the countless negative comments regarding Levy from numerous former players and managers and scouts who played and worked under his chairmanship.

He's the biggest hypocrite on The Fighting Cock
It’s great that we have you to bring such balance to the levy debate. It’s not like your myopic views are in any way dogmatic.

We shouldn't be looking at any player until we have a manager in place. That should be done ASAP. This smacks of Levy interfering again

FFS how do you people actually think football clubs run, so utterley naive :contefacepalm:

All clubs have a department looking at targets/transfers whether we have a manager or not, Levy isn't sitting there on football manager looking at players mate, that's not how it works.
