But I think that optimism is sadly unwarranted. Levy's history shows that he is unlikely to make any significant moves to remake the team this summer, and that he's much more likely to ask Ange to get more out of what's here and we'll wait and see after that. I generally bet on trends to continue and not reverse themselves.

I assume you won’t give a shit what I think (stranger on the Internet and someone who just called you a fucking idiot), but that’s so much more balanced and fair in my opinion. More than fine to not be as optimistic about things as I am, few are. Great to see you wander back into the grey area of not actually knowing for a fact what will happen or getting yourself down about stuff that hasn’t happened. 👍

I think the tea leaves are pointing this way. If we planned to do big business there'd likely be some talk of it by now. So far apart from Raya we've only got talk of lowball offers to pick the bones of Championship clubs, a possible Ndombele return, and questions about who we might be able to sell. Not exactly an auspicious start.

We'll get Raya, a cheap CB, maybe Maddison/Barnes or a couple of attackers in that category. Maybe another CB in the 15-20m range.

Net spend anywhere between 75-80m, probably.

I do at time click on the Show Ignore Content thing to see what’s being said by you and your mates. And felt I should reply to this one. You’ve never been close to schilling me or making me flustered. And I’m no coward.

I just don’t see any reason to engage in discourse with you and others on your wavelength, as there’s no middle ground. At least rowed back a bit on what he posted and I honestly can’t disagree with anything he said in the last post of his I responded to. You can’t seem to do that. It’s a shame as I think you are pretty well informed on a number of subjects on here, but the constant negativity isn’t what this place is about for me. On the same token, if we found ourselves standing at a bar and you came out with the constant ENIC out stuff, I’d make my excuses and leave you to it. It’s not cowardice. I just don’t want to hear it or read it. Not really sure why you’d want to read what I have to say either.

I’m sure if you found it within yourself to be less extreme, you’d probably get more out of this place and wouldn’t be one of the most ignored posters. But you do what makes you happy. 👍

I get plenty - lots of people agree with me and a lot don't. I'm happy with that, never been one to avoid clashes of opinion. I'd take a guess I'm missing nothing with pretty much everyone who has me on ignore, so no biggie. I'd be upset too if I was wrong about everything.

He's also on record as saying he's on the fence and would finally judge Levy after this transfer window in which he expects us to go big and show some real intent.

The increased revenue from the stadium and all it's non football related events will finally start to justify his patience, he said.

The thumbnail for the spurs app for my phone has changed and looks awful.

I can be extreme. Never pretended to be otherwise. I’m always calling folk cunts. Nothing you’ve said there is wrong. I do think I’m quite balanced on this subject, you disagree, always said I’d judge at the end of this window. Not moving from that. Hoping I am proved right and will be gutted if I’m not, but not because I’m wrong, but because we won’t be moving towards the success I’d love to see.

As for living for this thread, you’ve been on this forum ten years less than I have, but have made more posts. TEN YEARS! If anyone lives for this thread and this forum, it’s not me fella. I’m happy to take it or leave it. And I would like to think I involve myself in plenty of threads on here, truly taking part in the community. Which I’m sure was part of the reason for setting this place up in the first instance. I enjoy listening to what music posters enjoy, what’s made them laugh, which movies they enjoyed, who we should be keeping an eye on from other sides. And I like to think I involve myself throughout the forum at a good level. Maybe you don’t think so and that’s fine with me.

You've missed the point, which was that you claimed to not want to see/hear ENIC out shit, but you plonk yourself very regularly in the most ENIC out thread .. and engage with it all the time.

I really don't care what you do outside of this thread, but you're hypocritical inside it as you try to position yourself as the 'bigger man' in the debate whilst resorting to insults quickly. And you pretend to be ambivalent whilst immersing yourself in the debate as much as anyone.

Couldn’t resist.

It’s the ENIC thread. Not the ENIC out thread. And I’m happy to read stuff about ENIC out if it ever changes and doesn’t just go on the same repetitive cycle. Or isn’t just made up.

And I’m a self admitted hypocrite. I do resort to insults quickly. Nothing I, or anyone who reads my posts doesn’t know. And I do enjoy debate and other points of view, but there needs to be an understanding of the other side of the debate by both parties. I often don’t see that, so I insult or give up. Childish aye and I’m not proud of it.

Anyway, I shall consider my ill advised attempt at meeting a wee bit closer to the middle firmly rammed up my pipe.

I can see the other side. It just feels like the patience is endless and the cycle resets & Levy gets another chance every season. It's incredibly frustrating.
