ENIC In or ENIC Out

I think that’s were most of the frustration lies. Yup he did say it from day one so you can’t say he didn’t warn us but it’s the near misses , the in capability of pushing on , there’s been countless occasions. Most of us follow the football and it’s hard to get excited about hotels , golf clubs or NFL
They have turned us into a money making machine no question, but we achieve next to nothing, everyone laughs at us.

Most companies pay shareholders dividends, I presume Spurs do too , I’ve no idea but with the vast majority of shares being owned by ENIC / Levy I presume they get a tidy sum. We’ve since found out that water companies give out dividends even when they make a loss

I’ve not really looked into Levy or ENIC for ages as it’s kind of pointless, we know what they do & their business is property development, I feel the team is an afterthought, just keep it chugging along with no risk

I think if you look at the rise of Levy’s worth over 20 odd years . It’s gone from 10’s of millions to half a billion . I’m not saying that he’s skimming £ but I’d suggest that he’s made that off the back of THFC
We don’t pay dividends. Haven’t done for many years. Think we did once in the early days of ENIC, but can’t recall precisely when.

And yes, ENIC isn’t a football only operation. Just like the owners of every other club in the league. Their main goal is to invest in projects they can eventually flip for a profit. Presently we are a very expensive club that doesn’t win anything and the only way we can become more expensive is to win stuff. Or we can be an easier sale by dropping to the lower half of the table, but be worth less. I’d say we are trying manfully to do the former.

I see you also mentioned hotels, golf clubs and NFL. All profit making enterprises that will help us buy better players, pay larger wages, etc. One would hope anyway.

Check Companies House people, our owners have never ever taken dividens from the club, this argument comes up all the time and it's debunked so many times.

Like I said I didn’t know , there’s so many sub companies in the THFC infrastructure it’s a head fuck to look into where the money goes but what’s clear is people have made money off the back of the football club

We were kind of promised this once the stadium was built .

I don’t really lose any sleep over THFC & ENIC anymore . It used to wind me up , I’m still not a fan but there’s more important things in life

But they will when they take a huge profit after selling.

They have probably already borrowed against the value of their stake in the club as well and then made money on what they invested that into. That’s how people get rich enough to own football clubs,

You aren’t seriously suggesting that because they haven’t taken dividends they are just interested in Tottenham Hotspur from the good in their hearts?

As a shareholder, I can confirm that they don't.

I love the way you argue, just throw a complete straw man into a conversation as if I was suggesting any of that 😆

To answer though OF COURSE they're gonna make a profit after selling, that's literally how business works, they're an investment company, its nothing ground breaking.

No one buys football clubs to not make an eventual profit unless you're money laundering or sports washing.

Then cool.

The club according to Forbes is the most profitable football club on the planet,it generates crazy operating profit now due to the multi use stadium .
When we are posting loses it's due to stadium debt, but this is a kind of long term serviceable debt
And profits continue to get larger and larger each year
The clubs financial position is stronger than pretty much everyone else bar a small handful

It's the Netflix approach in layman's terms , Netflix are 14 billion in debt but their financial rating, credit rating and standing with the banks is excellent
Thank you for your answer.

Everyone has seen that Forbes graphic that names us as the 3rd most profitable sports club in the world. According to that, we made 414m $ in the previous 3 years. The methodology is not that clear though, and I think it doesn’t include dealings in the transfer market (I could be wrong about this).

Well, in the last few years we have averaged a net spend of more than 140m $ per season in the transfer market. Isn’t that where our profits are going? Why do people think we have 100s of million more to spend on players?

We have 1/4 billion in cash and our wage bill % is far lower than anyone else we are competing with
