Those two guys are clowns but that's besides the point really, could have been some idiot dressed up in a clown suit whilst barking like a dog analysing our set pieces, there's still enough in there to show you there's a problem.

Don't know if this has been mentioned so far but will be interesting to see how Liverpool get on under a manager whose release clause was a little too rich for our blood.

We weren't winning those 30 points tho and we weren't winning them because of Conte, not because of Stellini or Mason after him. It was his project that season and it was MUCH MUCH worse than Ange's first full season.
By quirk of statistics Conte left after 28 games. And Ange’s season went a bit flat after 10 games, so you can do a 28 game v 28 games PPG comparison.

Conte 49 points from 28 games
Ange 37 points from 28 games

The great ( and it was great ) start to last season masks quite a lot of problems. Hopefully now sorted of course.

The question goes back to would Conte have taken more than 11 points from the final ten games ? The answer is (likely) yes. As he got to 1.88 ppg on average across his tenure with us. Second only to Poch ( beating AVB into third place 🥉)

Ha, stay on topic chaps.

It hadn’t “gone flat” after 28 games, we had a brutal injury and suspension crisis then Asia Cup and AfCon took all of our most in form players.

You are comparing Apples and Oranges, so much context is needed for both of those managers
