It wasn't the price - ENIC only wanted to sell a minority stake (nothing has changed in 20 years).

On top of that, supposedly Abramovich was less than enthusiastic about Tottenham the area.

Also, fuck Abramovich.
 
Anyone else think Levy and Paratici will feel physically sick if Nuno takes Forest into the ECL and to an FA cup final. It's actually hilarious how the never for a second considered letting him have what he needed but gave the clown shoe 379million and 2 years. How can their judgement be this poor?

No. I don't think Levy gives two fucks so long as he's filling the stadium and the money keeps rolling in.
He's probably already busying himself lining up a bunch of lucrative non - football events to fill the likely void left by no European qualification.
If he was even remotely concerned about such matters Postecoglou would have been fired months ago.

It doesn't have anything to do with exorbitant demands, honestly. ENIC has been very clear for 20+ years: they are not interested in selling controlling interest in the club.

They offered Abramovich and others minority stakes, which have been passed on. Potentially because the asking price for the minority stake was too high, but most likely because the terms made it clear there was no path towards a controlling interest. Few people buy into a football club to share responsibility for paying the bills but not get to call any shots.

I truly do not believe anyone else will be in charge at Tottenham in the next 20 years. I expect Levy will eventually put a financing group together to buy Lewis' heirs out, and that Levy's son Josh will eventually succeed him.

I really hope they fuck off quicker than 20 years. Enic and Levy have been bloody awful for the footballing side of things.

I look at those scenes of absolute joy......And passion.....Green with envy. Thousands upon thousands celebrating what football is all about.

And then I think of the few miserable cunts on here who climb on their high horse to bemoan the possibility of a Qatari buy out because, they say, any success we achieve would be meaningless and worthless.

The miserable part is it hasn’t been bad enough to really unite the fanbase and force change or action. ENIC have not been terrible by any means, but they’ve never, ever taken a risk and gone for it. They’ve got lucky at times, and unlucky at other times but it’s been so painfully average in terms of drive and will to win. Bland, and the faux slogans etc is just sickening
