ENIC In or ENIC Out

I'd like to know the specifics of this too.

Stadium loan repayments and interest will be part of the story, but not all.

We've also spaffed a lot on very poor transfers and manager pay offs with Kane the only sizable sale in years.

Repayments are £33m pa . I don’t know if we have to pay for non footballing events for policing etc but it’s not much

Other Big 6 sides on average spent 144M more on wages this season compared to ENIC. Shocking!

My question is HOW? Where is that 144M coming from with other clubs? - Or what else are we spending on instead of wages?

I think only United and Scouse revenue are more than ours but 144M more (genuinely no idea)? - and for Arse, Chav’s and City - Are their owners reaching into their pockets to pay wages - Or is Levy taking our revenue and putting into developing real estate or spending on something else?

If ENIC genuinely isn’t pulling money out of the club (other than Levy’s bloated salary) - then something doesn’t seem to add up? How do other Big 6 clubs have the funds to pay 144M more in wages than us?

Genuinely want to know …

Big clubs work out how to get around the rules. Levy hides behind them.

I liken it to F1. Every year, a new set of rules are brought in to try to level the field and make F1 more competetive.
And every year, engineers for every team work out how to get around those rules.
If Levy had an F1 team, he wouldn't have engineers. He'd be publicly whining about the others whilst finishing last every race.

Joe Cole on Ange and the many problems at Spurs:

“If Tottenham don’t beat Eintracht Frankfurt, you’d imagine that Ange Postecoglou will get the sack. However, I don’t believe that Ange is the problem at Tottenham, it’s the clarification of who they are and where they want to go, and that comes from the top and that comes from Daniel Levy.”

Not sure he means 'clarification' - doesn't really make sense

Hmm,

I sort of get what he's saying. We pay ticket prices for a club that likes to tell the world we want to challenge.
But we buy mostly kids on lower wages and hire imbecilic managers like this one.
Maybe if we were honest about our aspirations and said we were happy with mid table inconsistent shite in the league with the hope of a cup every 7-10 years, then fans would at least know what they're getting.

That said, Ange is the major problem as we are better than 15th. We have a better squad than that and should be in the top half.

Difficult to sell the Ritz and £200 meals but you are served egg and chips. That is Spurs under Levy

Levy is a loser, he is ok with and often rewards failure. I can tell you know, getting to the Europa final and losing will be seen as a decent result that he'll probably put in a match programme as a measure of some success, that's brighton level stuff.
A real winner would make it clear that not winning a trophy or being involved in a title race is a huge failure. This would be knowm and their would be pressure on the coach , the staff and the players to win

You need to decide if you are counting how much is spent in £'s or how much is spent as % of turnover. Only 6 clubs spend more than us in £'s, and that includes some clubs that have greater revenue (or are financially doped to appear so) ... Man C, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, etc. Villa spend more than us but only as they are heading towards financial oblivion if they do not qualify for Europe (currently sitting in 7th place).

And we spend £17M per year more than Newcastle and they are 3rd and just won a cup.

Levy could comfortably spend an extra 10% and still have by far the lowest % of turnover = be the healthiest club. But that 10% would mean an extra £52M on wages per year. We could replace 5 players who are on £100k per week with 5 players on £300k per week, and still have an incredibly well run set of accounts. So the likes of Johnson, Richarlison, Bissouma, Dragusin, Bentancur could be replaced with £300k per week players.

The ratio should be compared to clubs who have similar incomes to us.
Palace have one of the highest wage to income ratios but one of the lowest incomes.

Blatantly burned after one of our highest ever wage earners was a shit useless twat who took the money, never gave us anything on the pitch then left on a free.

Maybe if we didn't buy one season wonders, that wouldn't happen.

City, United , Liverpool & Woolwich all above us in revenue last season, Champions League and high PL finish are the big earners , concerts and NFL etc can't match the money the club can earn on the footballing side.

There's only one PL team in a title race this season, so that's a fairly narrow definition of not being a 'huge failure'.

i didnt say it's only title race dependent though did i. If the chelsea manager doesnt win something this season do you not think he's job has a question mark over it even if he finishes top 5, same goes for Amorim. Arteta is the only one who's managed to get away without winning anything at the big clubs really

Daniel Levy, you are such a bellend that my brother has decided that he is going to follow Wrexham, and I quote, “The people in charge there actually want to get the team to succeed.”

Of Tottenham, he says, “Also, Tottenham are shite. My desire to support them is at an all time low - not because of the team, but because the people in charge have no desire to improve the team, but want to make their billion pound investment bigger.”

You massive helmet-cheese baldcunt.

Yeah, but if you can spend £100m less on wages that then negates the loss of £100m of CL income (if you don’t finish top 4). He’s taken all the risk out of football, and wants to ensure control over income and expenditure. He always hated that bad luck / bad ref decision could ultimately cost the club £80m, so decided to take needing CL football out of the equation.

I envy people or is that despise...people who can 'decide' who they support.

Levy and co could walk away tomorrow with their heads held high knowing they delivered the same amount of trophies in 24 years that George Graham managed in 3, #legacy.
