Nothing they do will ever repay the damage caused by seeing Harry needing to leave to win something.
A generational centre forward from our academy and he needs to win at Bayern.

Good on Harry, he deserved some silverware.
But fuck ENIC.

Can You Americanize the Premier League?

May 9th, 2025, 5:00 AM GMT+0800
As the Premier League grows more expensive, clubs are embracing American luxury to boost revenue. But some fans are worried that the pursuit of profit is leaving them behind. (Source: Bloomberg)

Interesting piece , thanks . What baffles me is that if they get what they want who is going to be able to afford to go ? Football doesn’t offer the same thing as American sports , the tailgate parties , it’s a whole day out You can only have so many tourists & “ legacy” fans will be priced out of going . The average weekly attendance in the prem is around 383,000 ( 38,000) per stadium .

I know the Premier League themselves are looking towards sport tourists which is killing atmospheres at grounds but I guess that doesn’t matter to them , bums on seats with no real emotional ties to what’s happening on the pitch , you can see how clubs are treating real fans & that the preference is tourism who spend more money. Fans rightly feel disengaged as there’s little loyalty from ownership .

the squeeze won't stop, I can't say anything about the PL experience re: what it was once like to where it's going but the new stadium built here in Perth has all that stuff, players walking through the exclusive areas on the way to the field and full strength for some and not for others 😭

This is in my opinion a classic example of the rich knowing the price of everything but the value of nothing.

And I sadly suspect that we won't see a change until we hit the breaking point. Like with most things in regards to late stage ultra capitalism like what the PL has become. The league and owners will squeeze as much money as they can out of the teams and league and only change once people stop showing up.

Like most things in life , the majority will have a little moan but reluctantly keep going . Next thing you know, you’ll not be able to go. They’ll clamp down on dodgy firesticks & you’ll be paying season price ticket prices to watch your own team on tv, but not clamp down on the downright theft of tv companies charges to watch tv.

Respect to the people protesting today , if I were living within 500 miles of the stadium , I’d be there , we changed their minds with the super league , time to get football back

I've already been left behind and no longer go.

Wharton will be 80m plus which puts us out of the running...

Nah , we will bid for him , we just need to wait for him to definitely decide he is going to another club , [ not Spurs) . We can then go in hard knowing we will never get him , alternatively we can wait until 30 seconds before the window shuts and then bid. In an ideal world he has a weird third party ownership structure ( not the case) so we can’t get him. 3rd party ownership has been a regular way of pretending to show ambition whilst showing no ambition .

Thrown away millions letting this fatman drag us down to the bottom fo the table.

Weird behaviour by Baldcunt.

He usually protects the bag.

*last season's figures but likely similar.

Levy, this is the amount of different teams in the Prem that have won a trophy since you took over at Spurs:-

(For a wealthy club, with great revenues and rich owners, Spurs have 1 League Cup in that time).

Premier League Clubs That Have Won Major Trophies Since 2001

🏆 Manchester City

  • Premier League: 8 titles
  • FA Cup: 2
  • League Cup: 6
  • UEFA Champions League: 1
  • UEFA Super Cup: 1
  • FIFA Club World Cup: 1
🏆 Manchester United
  • Premier League: 4 titles
  • FA Cup: 2
  • League Cup: 4
  • UEFA Champions League: 1
  • UEFA Europa League: 1
  • FIFA Club World Cup: 1

🏆 Chelsea

  • Premier League: 3 titles
  • FA Cup: 4
  • League Cup: 1

  • FIFA Club World Cup: 1

🏆 Liverpool

  • Premier League: 1 title
  • FA Cup: 1

Liverpool have two PL titles and two CLs since ENIC came to Spurs.

Just to make it worse.

Looks like we are about to become a selling club in the summer, as our better players will be leaving, and no doubt, based on history, we will spend decent money on rubbish. I really doubt our squad will be up for anything next season, so what hope for any new manager?

The downward spiral that started after with the 2019 CL final looks like it is going to really hit home over the coming months. If money is tight, we could be a million miles from getting near the top 4 again.

But at least we have a great stadium, where everyone beats us.
