He might be right and have heard something or he might be just putting 2 + 2 together and giving bullshit ITK

1 Cullen stepping down

2 Charrington involved. I believe a there was a Spurs fan a while back said he who worked with Joe Lewis companies (not the football side) and said Charrington only gets involved when things are failing and big changes need to be made.

3 Levy/ENIC already said openly they want outside investment.

4 Steveley hanging around the gaff like a Frenchman next to a brothel, a person who is known as elite at getting investors involved in big deals.

The amount of smoke around the club is like a Forrest fire. Quite easy to peddle ITK right now and 1-2 months down the line even if your chatting shit get proved right. Something is clearly big is going on but fuck knows what.

There was a rumour floating around on social media on the day of the EL final that Staveley was putting together a Malaysia based consortium to buy a stake in the club. Not a full takeover, but still new people in.

There's been so many rumours this season and her just hanging out around the club that there must be at least some truth in them.

Aussies Dream Aussies Dream a few weeks back said he spoke to someone close to a Malaysian consortium who said they bought the club with Staveley as the front.

Aussies Dream: ‘Very strong rumours that Levy has sold a stake to Staverly and her Malaysian consortium for £2.6’

Aussies Dream: ‘It’s come from someone close to her’

Me: ‘Oh you mean a personal thing you heard not an internet rumour’

Aussies Dream: ‘Correct’

I get the impression the smoke of something will keep going. This just feels very different to times gone by. I mean they openly said they want investment, they didn’t say it couldn’t be a complete buy out or at least large minority stake.

Might be a long couple of weeks if it's a complete clear out from top to bottom at the club.
Board members , first team coaches etc and medical team probably means we will be slow getting players in.

And it makes sense if it takes time. A purchase of this size, even a partial one, isn't done in just a week. There's the fit and proper and god knows what else.

The Newcastle purchase took what, two years to complete or close to that?

The Chelsea one is obviously an extreme outlier given the circumstances.

...are you thinking of Donna Cummin'??

I think this may be true... But can't tell who wants who yo stay/go...
So is Cullen leaving a sign that Ange is staying now ('cos Levy wants him to) or leaving ('cos Cullen wanted him to stay?)

Either way, it feels like we'll get the answer in the next 24/48/672 hours!
I don’t see anyone from the board leaving because they do, or don’t rate a manager. We’ve been through so many over the years. Don’t think that would be the issue. Could be a new investor that wants rid of the old shite guard

TBF that is how ENIC started off. And why people falsely claim they paid £30m for the club.
They bought something like 27% originally for £22m
They then made Kondar Ltd and bought out a bunch of other shareholders in 2003 for £40m
Sugar still owned just under 17% still in 2007 and sold that to them for £25m
Over the years they've scraped back some more % and issued more shares.

So it's not unlikely that - like INEOS with united - someone buys ~30% and "takes over", slowly nibbling away at the rest of the shares.

What we want to hope, above all else, is that whoever comes in doesn't do what the Glazers did (or, well, continue to do) and make the club buy itself

This is all lovely, meanwhile manure are about to snag Mbeumo.

Maybe Cullen just wanted to retire? She is 62 and I'm guessing fairly wealthy and probably gets a bit of hassle and abuse because of her job and has maybe had enough??

Not nice now but if we can get an investor/buyer where we can actually spend some big money it changes everything long term. Currently I think only United’s owners in this league have invested less of their own money and that is because the Glazer take it out. We don’t need a massive sugar daddy just more leeway. Then transfers like Mbeumo and Chuna become possible.

I hear you.

Believe it all when I see it tho, mate.
