So you're satisfied with us finishing in 17th place then .
No, and neither are the club, hence why they sacked Postecoglou and hence why I agree with that

He hires these so called football directors and then tells them what to do . He has a hand in every deal the club does causing us to end up with a poor second rate players instead of our original first choice , because he won't budge on his own valuation of players . I'm not trying to paint an ugly side of him , the fact is he micro manages us and then doesn't want to take any of the blame .
Evidence? People contradict this all the time and there's no evidence for it at all.

Why do you think there's protests outside the ground ?
John Thomas has been posted on here for over 12 years saying nothing but club bashing stuff. He's probably one of the 15 people who do it. Nothing better to do and an obsession.

Typical trying to pull the wool over the supporters eyes - instead of paying the going rate for Bruno Fernandez
Ignoring that Poch wanted Lo Celso instead

I used to be a pro Levy , but you try travelling home when you've been pumped on the road by Toon , Everton , Liverpool , when they shut half the roads down and you get home at 2am to 4am in the morning - it rankles because we've got a poor squad . I missed 5 games last season . I went to nearly every game home and away . Levy said this new stadium would be a game changer - it's changed us all right , we've ended up a worse run club because of it .
We've just had our first glory for 17yrs , and if counting Europe 41 yrs . Levy has been here more than half of that time . Who else do you suggest we blame then ?

Why does there have to be "blame"? We've been in countless finals and semi finals over the years. We had an amazing season unbeaten at home. Why didn't we win the title? Because the PL let Chelsea cheat their way for 20 years. They also let City cheat their way, and have spent what? 3 or 4 years whimpering about doing something about the 110+ charges whilst stamping on everton mercilessly.
IMO people take things out on the club/levy that should be directed at the crooks who have shaped the league into the money laundering operation it is today

It's time we addressed the elephant in the room... for starters lose the spurs style of pretty football it's a complete failure we ain't won the title since 1951 and 1961 ok... (also disgraceful one second place since 1962 and the abysmal record at Woolwich and chelsea especially chelsea!! We didnt even beat them in the 90s when they were well shit!!)

I want the premier league the champions league the fa cup the coca cola cup and the charity shield and I want it yesterday mate!!

I supported this club cos we had legends like hoddle waddle gazza and lineker...then what 35 years of nothingness apart from the odd coca cola cup (the 97 branding has stuck sorry!!)...OK we won the europa but it's like red star Belgrade winning European cup 1991 no one remembers red star...we won by default because we had easy games and no champions league 3rd place drop down teams this year

Seriously Daniel won't let go I don't know why.. closest thing to Daniel doug Ellis he was stubborn like Daniel sat on his perch for decades of nothingness at villa til he was too old (and Daniels only early 60s)

I've had enough I don't have enough time for rebuild after rebuild...my boyhood dream of winning the premier league within 30 years is gone...I'd rather watch Sunday league than this boring shit...

So drop the pretty football sack off Enic and win by any means necessary or do one!! We need a rich oil baron (Saudi or quatari will do or even american money)

I want the league the champions league the fa cup the coca cola and the charity shield and I want it yesterday mate!! Levy and Enic get out of our club!! You can't take it with ya when you do finally croak (the money) can ya?!...stop this craziness now tottenham have won the title 1951 the great alf Ramsey in defence 1961 Bill Nicholson never forget that glory!! Don't have to be spursy!! OK we got the europa at least that's something but even the fa cup is harder to win than that palace had way harder games than us. (Also you were fucking lucky not to get relegated daniel the other 3 teams were so shit)..so get real and get rid of levy!!

Our penny pinching has cost us a lot more than a few cups . We don't have the players when it comes to needing that top top class that changes games . When was the last time we paid for a world class player - a statement marquee signing ?

We can't blame Chavski and C$teh for our shortcomings . We should have bought a lot of players that would have made the difference but Levy didn't want to pay that bit more that they cost . That's "IS" on Levy

I agree with you that Chavski and C$teh have cheated their way through this couple of decades . Newcastle would have done the same if it wasn't being stamped out . The FA are spineless wankers . Like I said I used to be pro Levy , I just think I've had a season from hell on the road supporting us and getting home at stupid o clock in the morning after watching us play shit has made me a bit poisonous . Brighton was a tough one 0-2 up at half time and then we ended up getting beat . Chavs at Home 2-0 up and lost 4-3 . Brighton was brutal for us - It was the 10th time that Tottenham have lost a Premier League game in which they led by 2+ goals, the first club to hit double figures for this , and at least three more than any other side in the competition's history .

It's the European clubs Mainly Real Madrid and Barcelona too that drove up players prices . So with the inflated market , It's not just Chavs and C$teh's fault for that . But I see where you're coming from - C$teh paying £100mil for Grealish was vulgar and just flexing their muscles .

That's why.

You can be a "nearly team". But you can't be a "nearly team" when that last critical telling margin is so nakedly being withheld from the club year after year after year after year.

Some people are Levy Lovers and won't have a word said against him . The new stadium was supposed to be a game changer - the only thing that's changed is our league position and it's not for the better .

If they value it at say £5bn ENIC hold about 85% so what just over £4bn, a £3.4bn purchase would give them majority ownership and that might be all they want.
Its probably worth 4bn tops. Nobody would pay 5.

85% of 4bn is 3.4bn. So thats plausible.

But its more likely BS.

I do think that Charrington fella is on the board because Lewis wants out though. Levy has probably turned down too many bids and is too attached to his lifes work.

£3B tops, there's some wild exaggeration of the club Forbes just valued at £2.6B 2 weeks ago. Take the Forbes estimates with a grain of salt, but not the whole shaker.

Anyway, the idea Spurs have been, or soon will be, sold is a fantasy. I don't really understand why people continually fall for this.

That chart is on it's own is a disgraceful indictment of Daniel Levy and watertight confirmation of ENIC's utter contempt for the football club and it's fans.
What an abomination

This time need to admit: bar taking extra time to process Ange decision - he acted quickly and swiftly. Sacking on friday, and new replacement sorted almost immediately.

The net spend from 2003 until 2019 was approx £180m. Just over £10m per season on average.
Since then it has gone up to £100m. That's the "net spend" people used to complain about.

You know what the stupidest thing about that chart is? It favours clubs who are badly run, with very low revenue. It also favours clubs, like Chelsea, who have a ridiculous excess of players, because the "wage bill" is a collective lump and doesn't actually indicate how competitive the salaries are per player quality.
As I mentioned last time, and got no response, are Real Madrid a nearly team compared to Barcelona?

But here's the ultimate question: If we had 2nd highest wages in the league, would you still see that "spending within our means" as a negative? Are we somehow a better-run club if we go full-on Irving Scholar?
