We're stuck with this chancer til the day he dies

At which point he'll hand control over to his son who is no doubt a chip off the old block
Sad Season 2 GIF by Friends

The quality of player will keep decreasing.
TBF, this isn't really true within the context that I, admittedly, infer. Which is that Levy chooses to make the squad worse to save money.

After Soldado flopped, we floundered about with cheap retreads before the brilliant Tactics Tim "discovered" Harry Kane -

:sherwoodlol:

- who we'd been shipping out on loan for years and really had minor hope for.

We spend far more in fees and wages in relation to our PL competiton now. If the squad quality is decreasing, its because we're not doing a good job of identifying or developing players (or more that we're in a period of squad rebuild similar to 2013). But its not for want of trying - we're spending money on a higher level of player than we were a decade ago.

One Word Fellow Fans......'Boycott!!!!!'. If there are no fans, there is no FC. Then Levy can see where his Billions come from.
Nah, i think we should all chip in a few quid and pay that Swampy eco warrior bloke to dig a network of tunnels and barricade himself in. We can then all get behind him and delay the four towers project as they try to dig him out .

Levy’s face at 60. 000 people singing

We love you Swampy we do

Would be priceless , to me at least

Listened to the Lab podcast about the failed Qatari bid for complete ownership of the club:

View: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/s2e46-inside-the-failed-qatari-bid-for-tottenham/id1724935038?i=1000715146778

Guy said he has inside info on the deal and Lewis was ready to sell but Levy killed the deal because he's not willing to give up control.

What kind of person will see the size of protests against him as a chairman and majority shareholder, then turn down an offer to sell for a ridiculous profit?

The only reason is that his entire personality and reason for being relevant is now tied to the club. Without the club and the fans, he's basically a nobody. A rich nobody, but still a nobody.

If we had Qatari owners and CL football, we could be moving like Liverpool this summer and not just saying we want to win.

'inside info'

The lad on the lab talking about shite. Do you think people involved in multi billion dollar deals haven't signed NDAs?! They can't talk in public about deals of that type as who the fuck would trust them and use them for the next big deal if you know they can't keep their mouth shut.
Surprised Flav got him on

Years ago I cannot recall which year but we used to get 50k attendances (before all seater) but had a dreadful result and the next week we played Blackpool at home and got 19 k attendance. That can never happen nowadays as the high number of season ticket holders brings certainty of attendance. But back in the day with lower ST holders and pay as you go in supporters could significantly show their displeasure. If ST holders keep renewing then it will never change.

This is worth checking out

1982-83 Season Gate Summary

You can look at any season. I picked season 82/83 randomly and weirdly the 7 best supported clubs are 7 of the exact same clubs that make up the much thought of Big 8 of today.
The notable exception being Chelsea. They were in Div 2 with a home average of 12,724

FAN ADVISORY BOARD MEETS

The FAB welcomed Club CEO Vinai Venkatesham to his first meeting, where he provided supporter representatives with an overview of his role, his motivations for joining the Club and explained recent changes within the football department, including the appointment of Thomas Frank as Men’s Head Coach. Vinai confirmed he will attend all future FAB meetings.

The FAB shared ideas to further strengthen the connection between the Club and supporters and to promote the role of the FAB to the wider fan base – including more ways to contact supporter representatives and for fans to contribute their feedback to FAB discussions.

The following initiatives were confirmed at the meeting:

• The Bill Nicholson Gates will be reinstated within the stadium environs this summer with further details to be communicated to supporters in due course.
• The Club and FAB are working together to create a revamped Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame, following a meeting between the Club and supporter representatives.
• The Club committed to continue working with supporters’ groups on atmosphere initiatives and to build upon the success of our collaborations last season – including the matchday displays at home, at European away games and in Bilbao.
• FAB subgroups have been established for the 2025/26 season to focus on ticketing, a singing section within the stadium/atmosphere, the women’s team and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, with a focus group being formed to hear from our One Hotspur Members.
• The Club also confirmed exciting plans to create a junior supporters’ focus group for Season Ticket Holders and Members aged 11-16, aiming to deepen the Club’s relationship with young fans, generate new ideas to enhance the junior experience and ensure their voices are heard at the highest level of the Club. More information will be communicated to junior Season Ticket Holders and Members in the coming weeks.

Memory after all these years is a bit fuzzy.
Looks like right year. I went a lot that year. The attendance fluctuated much more than today. I went to the Blackpool match and the atmosphere was abysmal due to lack of supporters. It followed losing to the Woolwich who we had dominated through the sixties and at that stage in the season did not know would go on to win the league. Cannot remember the match though.

Sounds great. Well done to all

Dumb Q - is FAB separate from the Trust?

1969-70 we were bang average and finished 11th
1970-71 much better finsished 3rd

crowds went down, bit weird

maybe the effect of selling Greaves, and increasing terrace violence

Passed by driving test in May 1970 and so 1970/71 first season I could get there when I wanted. Very disappointing that the lot down the road ruined the season but we won the League cup and were unlucky to lose to Liverpool in the FACup.
