But you don't really care about the club, do you?

If you actually cared about the club, you would realise that the club itself is actually in a pretty good condition. Massive state of the art stadium, enviable training facilities, and a squad filled with bright young talents from around Europe which fittingly just won a European trophy, and that's after a solid decade of being in the Top 6 and a couple of years when we came 2nd in the league and were 90 minutes away from being champions of Europe.

In case you forgot, that's our best ever league performances since the 60s, and the highest-profile fixture this club has ever taken part in. Those who still cream themselves over the FA Cup won't want to hear it, but ENIC have produced the second-best period in the club's history, in terms of both league and European presence. Over than span we've also produced England's greatest ever striker and Tottenham's all-time top goalscorer, not to mention we're the place were Bale, the most successful British player of his entire generation, made a name for himself before we extracted a world-record transfer fee for his defection to Madrid.

Last year's league performance was abysmal, and that's what someone like Frank is hired to fix. Frank's resume isn't littered with silverware like Jose, Conte or Ange, but instead has made a great name for himself squeezing excellence out of the 2nd-lowest wage bill in the division. It wasn't some big name coach that got us so close to the summit of the game, it was an Argie who hadn't won a trophy that did for us, and so I guess we're trying again, and we're thankfully back in the CL for at least another season.

So the club itself isn't doing badly at all. It's not being run in a 'shambolic' way, it's being run as one of the richest and most famous clubs in world football, which is frankly not what could be said back in 2001 when it was bought for 50m squid; less than the price we charged for Kyle Walker.

So, really, this has nothing to do whatsoever with you caring about the club. You just seem to care about yourself.

Well, for season after season we were solidly in the Top 6, and for 3 or 4 seasons we were solidly in the Top 4, even challenging for the title and coming closer than any season since the early 1960s. So what tripe exactly are you complaining about?

Yes, and Poch was a fantastic appointment which gave us our greatest period in decades. Would be nice to replicate that, wouldn't you say?

Well I for one don't want it to be much different than it was under Poch, because we were credibly challenging for the top trophies in the game when he was here. Personally, my optimism comes from the fact that under Levy we've become one of the biggest and best clubs in the world.

Don't like it? Go on a boycott. Hand in your ST. Walk away in disgust.

Just stop pretending it's the club you care about. Perpetual fucking moaners was accurate.
I just had a glance through your postings.
You hardly ever talk about Spurs in the Tottenham forum section. Almost all of it is in the Twitter thread ffs.
And when you DO talk about Spurs it's this thread.

And you're saying others AREN'T Spurs fans?

Y'know, your highly logical arguments have finally swayed me, and now I believe I see the light since you put it so masterfully.

I get it now. You're the real fans. You're the ones really looking out for the club and its fortunes. You don't need anything like irrefutable facts or data, as your expertise has clearly come from long years working within the industry which is modern football, and your insights are obviously gleaned from the common sense of the wider Spurs fandom; after all, your poll says that a whopping 84.7% of respondents from this forum are Levy Out. Truly, you are the voice of the people.

I have no doubt now that when you commit yourselves and your obvious majority to the task ahead, you will bring Daniel the Thief to his knees with the fury of your boycott. A whole 326 seats will be empty, and the silence will be deafening. The message clear. The consequences unavoidable now for the bald fraud. Finally, justice shall be served, and ENIC OUT's 20-year campaign against the chairman (which until now had seemed rather misguided since it kept being wrong about everything it claimed) will finally be validated.

My eyes have been opened. No longer do I cleave to my former master, who held me in thrall as I embraced his abuse and captivity. I am committed to the cause, and I too shall endeavour to pay for a ticket so that it may remain empty in my outrage. I said 326? No. Not on my watch. It will be 327.

Thank you for being the heroes we've all needed. Your steadfast dedication to basing your self-esteem and emotional stability upon the fortunes of a sports team are an example to us all of what we can become if we truly commit to the cause.

I await news of the Great Mission. Godspeed, and FOYL*

*that's short for Fuck Off You Levy. It's like a clever play on the whole COYS thing, because it insults Levy in the most generic and meaningless way. I came up with it myself, but you can use it if you run short on slogans, okay? I'm here to help.

It took you long enough but we got there in the end.

Nah

Whilst the stadium is full, the club shop tills are ringing, the concerts are sold out, and Levy is in charge, nothing will change. If you go to games and spend money in the club shop / bars, then do not expect change. The problem is that if you stop going someone else will go in your place. Maybe a die hard fan, but more likely a tourist. All clubs would like to cut back on season ticket holders and sell more tickets to day trippers looking for the full experience and who will spend a lot more money. Buy programmes, buy a replica kit, do the stadium tour or sky walk in the morning. Levy / ENIC did not invest in Tottenham to win trophies. They invested to make hundreds of millions, if not billions of pounds.
A lot of what is written is true. However, there is a counterpoint in regards to what we can do to push back.

Each and everyone of us has an opportunity to engage with the club. Emails / letters, fan group representation and social media channels are there. There is no reason to be too negative in the engagement, but putting your point across these platforms does have an effect as much as not going or withholding purchases.

Shared this example before. 2021 League Cup final. I refused to purchase and wrote to the club to explain why. They responded and there was an exchange and I do feel there was a degree of response, as it ended up with the club and THST representing my pov ( even though my view was not widely supported ).

Nowhere near enough people engage in the correct processes, preferring to suggest there is nothing that can be done. Can we do anything that is a “Nuclear” option that pushes these parasites from our club? No. Can we chip away? yes I think we can and should.

And you're saying others AREN'T Spurs fans?

They sure as fuck don't seem to be. They seem like moaning wankers who are far more concerned with whether or not they get to gloat over Gooners or Chavs in their daily lives, and perpetually blame Levy because they can't.

And I have to say, this is why I posted at all. I don't mind people having whatever opinion they have, or lucid criticism of the chairman, because I certainly have enough of those myself. What gets up my nose somewhat is this stupid idea that moaning endlessly/ignorantly on the internet is what makes one a Real Fan. As if the ones who spend all their time whining are the ones who Really Care about the club.

They're not. They're just an irritating minority of Spurs fans who have nothing better to do with their time than complain on the internet and convince themselves that their whining is Serious Business that Real Fans all agree with. That delusion is incredible, but I've been seeing people post that bollocks for, well, 20 years now.

LOL some berk posted a bunch of nonsense about Stockholm Syndrome. In relation to football.

And these are the ones who think they deserve to be taken seriously?

:harrylol: :harrylol: :harrylol:

It's just absurd. They're just nobodies on the internet, but they imagine that they're heroes of a fanbase that by and large laughs at them as much as everyone laughs at AFTV.

But what about you? Are you saying I'm NOT a Spurs fan, since there's no discussion/thread on this forum about Spurs which is worth paying attention to because it's typically filled with ignorant whining about Levy?

Do tell.

Mate, I'm just trying to treat you guys as seriously as you so obviously take yourselves... :bissoumahear:

Are you now telling me that you're not the Big Deal you make yourselves out to be? I mean, Tottenham Massive has already surrendered, and he's a legend of ENIC OUT. His little tag says as much. I've been waiting for his little hammer to whack a mole, but so far he's gone into hiding. Please don't tell me that all their bollocks have shrunk just because I can point out that ENIC has provided our second-most successful period in the club's history...

(btw, how does one link a poster's name/profile?)

Edit: for example, look at this quote:

Nowhere near enough people engage in the correct processes

LOL what 'correct processes'? They're talking as though they're revolutionaries trying to overthrow the political system instead of disgruntled middle-aged men who are upset because football is no longer the way they remember it from 40 years ago when they were kids.

Am I missing something? You go ahead and tell me, if it isn't too much 'drama' for you...

Last few weeks in this thread have been gold, its a bit like spraying the raid spray to get rid of the bugs

Thread is in a much more healthy state these days :frankthumbs:

Some people seem to equate Levy facing down a small poorly organised protest and other than that an apathetic fan base with a win for the football club , it’s not . It’s a win for a minority of people on this forum and a loss for the football side of our once great club.

Levy doesn't know I exist 😥

Maybe you could put in a good word for me ?

I'd be ever so grateful

:frankshock2:

Absolutely I will, since as you guys doubtless clocked many pages ago, I am totally an employee of ENIC and have been planted here so that the fanbase can be misled by heinous propaganda. I've had a long-standing arrangement with certain admins on this forum whereby they get a kick-back in return for not exposing my identity as Levy's media secretary.

My only question is: how did you rumble me? I was forced to go on this whole 6 month training course in media literacy and political misdirection, and I have to tell you I came top of my class. That's why I was given this assignment, because the club keep a close watch on popular THFC internet forums and The Fighting Cock was identified as the #1 target for management infiltration. I was selected because I showed the greatest ability to disguise myself as a Real Fan.

Please, I have to know where I messed up.

:ange-hands-head:

And if any of this sounds 'dramatic' or 'silly' to your ears, or any other vapid little word you're going to use to try and distract away from what I am saying, then understand that this is what you guys regularly, seriously fucking claim on here when you think no-one is around to take the piss out of you for it.

So yeah, next time I'm massaging Levy's toes and soaking up the latest barrage of corporate strategy aimed to disrupt the efforts of heroic fans who have seen through the bald tightwad's manipulations, I'll absolutely tell him about a poster named Doom Funk, because that is definitely the threat to his power that he needs to know about most.

Clearly, there is no victory against your cunning.

That's a lovely bit of fan fiction , really enjoyed it

But sadly therein lies the problem. There is no way that Levy sprang for a 6 month training course , in media literacy or anything else for that matter.

It's clear that he prefers the Arthur Daley approach of rounding up the local reprobates and miscreants and throwing them a few breadcrumbs now and then to do his bidding , all legal and above board of course

One thing that I will give you serious props for though is his skincare routine

I swear he hasn't aged in about 20 years , I can only imagine how exquisite his feet are based on all those massages that you mentioned

Keep up the good work 💪
