Yeah that was quite the rant wasn’t it

Come On What GIF by MOODMAN

They sure as fuck don't seem to be. They seem like moaning wankers who are far more concerned with whether or not they get to gloat over Gooners or Chavs in their daily lives, and perpetually blame Levy because they can't.

And I have to say, this is why I posted at all. I don't mind people having whatever opinion they have, or lucid criticism of the chairman, because I certainly have enough of those myself. What gets up my nose somewhat is this stupid idea that moaning endlessly/ignorantly on the internet is what makes one a Real Fan. As if the ones who spend all their time whining are the ones who Really Care about the club.

They're not. They're just an irritating minority of Spurs fans who have nothing better to do with their time than complain on the internet and convince themselves that their whining is Serious Business that Real Fans all agree with. That delusion is incredible, but I've been seeing people post that bollocks for, well, 20 years now.

LOL some berk posted a bunch of nonsense about Stockholm Syndrome. In relation to football.

And these are the ones who think they deserve to be taken seriously?

:harrylol: :harrylol: :harrylol:

It's just absurd. They're just nobodies on the internet, but they imagine that they're heroes of a fanbase that by and large laughs at them as much as everyone laughs at AFTV.

But what about you? Are you saying I'm NOT a Spurs fan, since there's no discussion/thread on this forum about Spurs which is worth paying attention to because it's typically filled with ignorant whining about Levy?

Do tell.
I'm saying it's a bit odd you spend all your time in non-spurs related chats and then suddenly appear in an ENIC thread calling out those people who only talk about Spurs.

The poll on this thread is a sample of the overall forum population just like any other poll in any other circumstance.

Posters trying to belittle it just don't like the result, it's Donald Trump like behaviour.

LOL it's only a forum, it means nothing to anyone not on it. Yet posters argue with the result until they're blue in the face.

Pathetic.

I bet if you asked a thousand fans at the stadium to vote in or out it would be near as damnit the same.
You'd have to exclude "don't know" as too many people sit on the fence when given the option to.

Maybe so but the point is other polls on this forum, posters seem to accept the results but not this one.

This forum probably has zero or very close to zero impact in life outside it. So when we have polls on it it's just really for the members here to vote amongst themselves.

So our poll says the members want Levy/ENIC out, yet a number of posters on the losing side of that sample just won't accept it. And they think the Levy Out posters are the unreasonable ones.

Re: 'poorly organised protests' this is a bit of a misnomer and should read 'poorly attended protests' to better describe the reality of the situation as is.

Poorly organised implies a state of inefficiency or disarray where things are not readily accessible or easily understood due to a lack of planning or system and that is simply not the case.

Every matchday offers up the possibility of circa 50k+ joining the protest and the fact that they don't has nothing to do with them not having prior knowledge to planned protests tis more to do with apathy and opposition.

Levels of protest will ebb and flow in sync with how our fortunes play out on the pitch but one only has to look ovet at ManU where the protests have been better orchestrated, more vociferous and gone on longer, yet except for a slight shuffling of fancy footwork has done absolutely feck all to changing the ownership.

I reckon there would have been much more uptake last season had we gone out of the cups in January, had nothing to play for and been in the bottom 6 for the run in. Even the ardent Ange fans would have been unhappy IMO.
I suspect the ENIC resentment will only ramp up this season if the window doesn't improve and Frank fails to steady the ship.

I agree - the fact that Honest John Honest John refuses to accept the 15% of ENIC in numbers is beyond pathetic.

The ENIC resentment will ramp up only if we continually lose matches, these fan protests over their boards are linked to fan happiness and how connected they are with the team.

The protests by CFT last season took off because of shit we were in the league, when they organised a protest before the Semi final of the Europa League people didn't want to do it and it got backlash, if that was a regular league match with nothing riding on it then they it would have gone ahead - The real reason is because people were in a good mood because they experienced some joys which allowed them to temporarily escape from the misery of how the team was doing.

Thats probably why the poll is so one sided in here, if I recall that poll has been up for about a year I think. Over the course of the season more and more people voted out as more and more people started to get unhappy and dissalousined with the football...pretty sure if you stated the poll again from next season and we started to win then the results would be vastly different.

That poll is a bit silly anyways, it needs more than two options as I don't believe you can be venemently ENIC in or ENIC out, as always these things need nuance and middle ground which this thread severely lacks.
