So you got into football for the transfer window, and how the club operate behind the scenes?

We have seen a change in how we operate from a footballing perspective since 10 years ago IMO.

It's not rivalling our closest on the pitch rivals from the same period, but there has been a change - you want a greater one, that is seemingly determined by how we spend money and make money back on players. None of which will or, in fact, for us, has determined any success we have had on the pitch.

And 'the right player' is sooooooooo subjective - 90% of Spurs fans thought Ndombele was the right player..... all the while some of the best players we have watched the last 10 years have been bought for reasonable fees.
I haven’t seen a change in ten years. We spend more money due to the increased revenue from fans, but we operate badly vs peers

Youre being very very selective.

Do we operate badly vs Man U?

We seem to be operating nearly identically now to how Woolwich were 4/5 years ago in their first couple of seasons under Arteta - building a squad of cheapish, young, promising players on low wages. They had barely spent anything to get that first 2nd place finish and for all their 'Operating', they haven't won a single thing.

Liverpool I will give you,

But Man City and Chelsea are not our peers when it comes to football spending - I mean, even Man U aren't when you have a look at the money they have spent

I’m talking about planning and execution, not money spent. Replace Levy with Barber and see how we operate

And yet we have still finished in the top 5 more often than not the last 20 years above all the other teams who have too, who have at various points also had their blips, bar pretty much just Man City.
I think Poch gives an air of respectability to Levy’s tenure that he hasn’t earned . I readily admit to not liking Levy and am happy to admit that colours my judgement . However that does not necessarily make me wrong

We’ve also had some world class players and 11’s, but not kicked on and exploited those opportunities - quite the opposite, doubled down and signed no-one
