The worst thing is he genuinely thinks he has done a great job.

He's such a cunt he really is. Made worse by the fact he's clueless about football. He probably thinks that replacing Son with Tel and Odobert is fine and sufficient for the season. He probably thinks Sarr can do a job at number 10.
He has done a great job. In the measurement that counts to him and ENIC and shareholders.

It’s a business to them and he’s run it very well and with absurd success financially.

I genuinely do not know what it would take for him to sell ( not completely his decision I know )
But we can’t go on the way things are
But takes overs and even investment, takes a while
And we need something to change a bit quicker than that
This squad will struggle, let alone four competitions
He will never willingly sell.

He wants people to think he might.

He's playing for time and hoping super Tommy Frank can polish the turds before the heat gets turned up on him again.

It's starting to look like a death spiral to me.

I've never felt so disinterested in Spurs.

He probably has no idea what a number 10 even is

Probably thinks you stick a 10 shirt on a player and that makes them a number 10

Read the thread. There absolutely are people saying that and it’s truly incredible.

Liverpool have been very well run. We agree. They have also benefited from some luck but they have done a great job.

Woolwich are ahead but it’s cyclical with is. We’ll see how long this cycle goes for them and we will be better than them in a few years. That’s the way it’s gonna be which is better than having been worse than them for 20+ years before.

Villa and Newcastle haven’t overtaken us. And if you were fans of theirs you’d be dying at their transfer windows!
Honestly, where are you getting this from? Villa and Newcastle haven’t overtaken us? Are you clinging on to the fact we managed a CL place on a cup win?

And the analysis on Woolwich. Where is that coming from?

I’m all for healthy debate but this is just made up stuff. We have not progressed from our cup win. We have not covered positions that clearly needed to be covered. At the moment there is almost nothing to suggest we will be very much better than last season.

Ange definitely played his part but this squad is nowhere near the top 8 and without investment won’t be in September when the window closes.

I love a bit of optimism but this is ludicrous tbh.

Wages are the biggest thing holding us back. The fact you say it's bollox that wages aren't a factor. Spending loads of money on average players is stupid. We can't attract any players that are game changers because we can't compete with the teams we want to be competing with. Wages are more important than transfers fees. This has been proven to be true.

Also, how do you explain sides that were in the championship when we were probably the best team in the league for a period, catching up with us, and we're now competing with them as opposed to the top table?

If you're satisfied with this ownership and how they're operating, I guess you're a glutton for punishment.

Do you really think that a post ending with “time to move on” is supportive of the ownership? Are you ok?

Also, I agree fully that the wages are the thing that’s holding us back. But it’s not the ratio compared to our revenue. If we had a revenue of £4b, would you be expecting us to spend 60% of that on wages? You probably would, I suppose, but anyone else wouldn’t.

Wages should be taken into account on a £ note figure, not a percentage of something else. Fucking lunatic fringe stuff that’s popular with nerds on X.

Hoping they are shaping to sell. The way they are behaving is similar to somebody trying to secure a mortgage. Make the accounts and business look as profitable as possible, reduce outgoings, low wage to income ratio.

Its our only hope.

Do we really have to pray for stavely and the Saudis or Qataris to save us?

I’m not sure but are we on track to cut our way bill down again ? My hope ( probably in vain ) is that this will look more attractive to a buyer but I’m probably way off with the way levy was talking the other day …. His legacy 🙄
