The Willian deal was the warning , when you play with the sharks you have to have your wits about you , when u want to get a deal over the line for a top player and you know a big team are circling you get that deal done , you make sure you don’t haggle over the last penny . The deal should have been done months ago and if Eze never had any intention of joining then we should have walked away , to let it get this late in the day and now to have to go back into the market is an absolute disgrace , Levy has zero credibility in this market, clubs don’t like negotiating with him and his job should now be untenable . Good riddance.

Anyone expecting anything else from Levy was deluded. This is who he is.

Maybe I'm getting old but my expectations of players now are much lower. 4 out of 5 will go to whoever pays the most and gives them a decent prospect of a trophy.

So I suppose Eze is in the first category.

Might as well rename the club one of the following now:

We Tried FC
Talks Advancing FC
Verbal Agreement FC
Hijacked FC
Personal Terms agreed FC

Setting aside all the angry stuff directed at Levy - for his lack of hair (which he can’t do anything about) or him being routinely described as a four letter word beginning with a C (which he really ought to try to do something about) …

The issue is that he has made his position untenable, in the sense that he has gone around making enemies in the board rooms of all the other premier league clubs (and a fair few in continental Europe), to the extent that every one of them loves nothing more than getting one over on him. Forest, Palace, Woolwich and so on. You can just imagine when they get together they have a real old laugh about the pariah, Daniel.

He - or Joe Lewis - has to recognise that his uncompromising style has made so many enemies that he is now a figure of fun, and not someone to be taken seriously.

P45 time, mate. Today was one of the most humiliating days I can recall in The nearly 40 years of supporting this club, well up there with the Willian fiasco and Judas on a Bosman. Shameful.
