Business credibility is overrated and plenty of hype.
Chairman salary is embarrassing. Stadium naming rights etc.
Anyone can wear a suit and be surrounded by certain people.
The guy is hyped and really just a small time squeaky voiced, anti football little man.
Spurs name is connected with him (and his with Spurs) and it isn't a good look.

Two parts to this for me.

Firstly we need a new figure head. Someone who hasn't peeved the rest of English pyramid being a dick to deal with in transfer negotiations.

One or both of MGW or Eze should have been wrapped up, and they weren't. At the same time I want players who want to be here and it is clear neither were keen. One was happy to use it for a new contract and the other couldn't agree with Woolwich any quicker.

That's the football side of it.

Now with what matters in life, and it isn't overpaid millionaires kicking a ball around

In the last 3 months.

I've sat by and watched my dad die, as a result lost the house we shared.
Saw my job that I really enjoyed being at get bought out a fortnight later. Mere weeks from LSL.
Found out a mate of 20 years is awaiting trial for an Aggravated Burglary charge for beating up his wife's secret lover on the side.
Have a mate on his honeymoon last month get so seriously ill he's been in ICU in a Mexican hospital for weeks, and needs a GoFundMe page to help pay for medical bills and their mortgage repayments back home.

So while we're the laughing stock today and people will have their fun I just cannot bring it to get worked up over a millionaire who kicks a ball rejecting us.

I'm not saying this to invalidate those who are far more passionate about today's failure or the many more than have preceded it. About Daniel's haphazard leadership or that we need change. If that's how you are go for it. Hopefully it leads to meaningful change.

But for me, I can't bring myself to get worked up about overpaid athletes who kick a ball in the net anymore.

Sorry to read you have been having a rough time of late. I hope things settle down for you soon as possible. 👍

It would appear that Parish played Levy in a big way. There are reports now that Woolwich had agreement with Crystal Palace 10 days ago and were just waiting to come back in on the deal. The common thread between the Morgan Gibbs-White fiasco and Eze deal imploding appears to be that other owners have problems dealing with Levy. My perception, from a distance, is that Levy is more concerned with winning the deal and gaining every advantage than actually signing players. It's not difficult to imagine other owners pick up on that and enjoy embarrassing him.

Fair play to Parish, he knew he had to sell Eze this window and had the offer from Woolwich. He wanted the release fee price and got it by dragging Levy along. I am imagining him laughing as he watched Levy gleefully enter attack mode, arguing over the desired font in the contract.
I said it a week ago and I said it yesterday, we won't sign Eze. I didn't think we had the real desire to actually buy a proven player over whatever perceived value Levy has in his head. I was wrong though, it was never going to happen because Levy was played. Played by Parrish, played by Woolwich and probably played by Eze. It felt wrong from the start, then it just got even stranger; the constant "really close", "really really close now", Eze was playing on the weekend and "we need to him to play on Thursday, just wait".

The whole thing was strange, just like the ridiculous rumours about Savinho, which won't happen.

Think you’re correct! The whole Eze deal just felt odd, loads of delays for no real reason! Only for the gooners to have it wrapped up in seconds. I think Eze will potentially find it tough there. It isn’t a natural fit and that terrorist ball will hold him back from a creative sense. Not to mention that given the money they have spent this season (think it’s upwards of £250m) they NEED to win either the league or CL. Anything less is failure

No - the difference is other owners are involved in their clubs and its their money.

Goons have an ownership group consisting of a son playing with his mother's inherited fortune nominally via his trophy-husband father. Plugged into and wildly interested in sport.

Palace had no reason to be in a hurry to sell Eze, who seemingly preferred the goons to Spurs all along, and so they were happy to string us along in case Woolwich came back. Worst case scenario they get another game or 2 from Eze, have time to sort their replacement, and eventually sell to us. Best case exactly what happened.

Forest are owned by a Greek shipping heir so invested in his club he stormed his own pitch. We came for his player and he decided fuck that - and bowled the kid over with a salary offer.

You can operate that way when its your money. You can't operate that way when its not your money, and the person whose money it is hasn't laid eyes on the club in a decade and couldn't name a player in the lineup.

Being owned by a tax dodging Caribbean cunt is the biggest problem.

Parrish is perhaps the worst party in the whole thing. He was stalling Spurs to help Woolwich. All the "terms almost concluded" can be seen in context now and it is not a nice picture. How bad must Levy's relationships be with his fellow owners that this keeps happening.

He has got to take this personally. He has been made to look like a total fucking mug. 25 years he has been in this game and he is STILL getting pushed around.

A normal person would react by doing everything humanly possible to have the last laugh.

However, I can say with certainty that we'll either bring in some shit Plan E option who will turn out to be useless or we'll just straight up sign no one. Levy is going to roll over and say "we tried" and "it was a difficult transfer window".

We deserve so much better as a fanbase than this property developing parasite, leeching off the club to fill his own pockets.

10 days left. If our squad is still massively undercooked then the fanbase will... do fucking nothing. Because fans don't stand for anything. They'll still fucking turn up and fill the seats on match day. Nothing will change. Nothing ever fucking changes.

I have to go to work with four fucking Woolwich fans today. Thankfully they know better than to properly wind me up but I'm still expecting comments. Thanks Levy, you total fucking dickhead.

Woollich only came back in after the Havart injury, I don’t think Parrish knew that was going to happen . We faffed about when we had a free run at the player . We could have and should have had it tied up 10 days ago

Lads……….. it’s Tottenham.

Absolutely seething with the ineptitude of this ( and multiple other ) transfer windows.
When the new stadium was being built Levy assured the supporters that the revenue it would generate would allow us to be competitive at the elite levels. Turns out that was absolute bullshit.COYS.
