I haven't been looking at the forum or any football news since about 1pm yesterday, so only found out about Simons about half an hour ago. It's good news.

I'll happily give Levy credit for his involvement in the signing, but you're right, these are the sort of players that the club requires more often.

The usual suspects have been on the forum telling posters there's something wrong with them for paying any attention to media reports about player acquisitions, but Simons has been mentioned in the media quite a few times regarding our club during this transfer window. It also seems that Romano had been correct about Vuskovic going on loan to Hamburg.

So the club's potential activity in the transfer window not all always a made up load of bollocks in the media, and there are transfer targets that the club do aim for but fail because of low ball bids or clubs not wanting to deal with Levy etc.

You mean we need to make signings like this more often, like Kudus and Palinha, or Romero, Porro, Maddison?

It wasnt that long ago that people were saying these are the players the club needs to sign more often with regards to players like Sarr, Bergvall, Udogie, VDV,

Why, on today of all days, would you post that?

What point are you trying to make that you haven't already made 100000 times?

We get your stance.

It is not new, it's not original,l and it's not even interesting. All you are doing is shitting on others' parade because you care more about levy and Enic than you do about literally anything.

SO, lets see if you have the cahuna's to actually answer a question that is asked of you.

Why did you post this? What are you hoping to achieve?

Does he need a reason or your permission to post? Rhetorical question, doesn't need an answer... stop trying to police the forum.

I'm hearing some goalposts are starting to move in this thread...

The place seems to be overrun with killjoys trying to police the forum and take away all the fun and banter, (the kind of thing that made this site so special) .
I've even seen posters calling for permanent bans for people who use the term "spursy" for God'sake. 🤷‍♂️
I think it's rather a shame tbh with you.

Not trying to pick holes , but since 23, we also signed
Soloman
Dragusin
Ashley Philips
Veliz

I think as you said that there has been a slight improvement and I am hoping that Frank can make some improvements to the existing staff but it really is time to start acting like a big club and buying some real quality.
Phillips doesn't really count. Young, negligible cost and already playing in the Championship at 20.

Simons is probably the most exciting player the club have acquired in a long time.

Sorry if I want more like him, my bad.

I wasn't complaining that some of the players aren't good enough in their positions, I just think we need more skill and flare in attack.

I think it was Ian Wright who recently said that Spurs had let Kane down, by not building a team around a generational talent like him. We needed players like Simons in the team years ago, not LoCelso and Bergwijn.

If you respond and I don't reply, just assume i've logged out in a huff.

I mean, Lo Celso and Ndombele were both record signings of ours at the time and considered exciting purchases.... as, hilariously, was Davinson Sanchez....

It is easy to look back in hindsight and say they didnt turn out to be the players we wanted..... but they certainly excited the fan base.

Other signings may not give you the instant tingles of Simons at the time of purchase, but he is an incredibly exciting signing and is already a fan fave

Hopefully we get another one over the line too.

Lol at you absolutely itching to start a cunt off :roflmao:
He likes to goad posters and then probably foul votes them if they react as he hopes.

He could hardly contain his enjoyment when you were in the sin bin yesterday,
