The fact this thread is so quiet, speaks volumes about just how successful our transfer window was...

thinktank thinktank said it best, I’m content with that window.

I have learned to never get too excited until we see them play but Simons and RKM could very easily convert that window from Content to Happy… but we’ll have to wait and see

It's an ok window for now. Luckily an opportunity arose over Simons otherwise it would of been a fairly average window. I like the palhinha signing and hope we make that permanent. Still lacking a left winger and we're relying on Richarlison up front all season which hinges on him staying fit if not were severely short there again. I can see some potential but unfortunately I can also see that an injury to kudus or Richarlison and were fucked and the squads attacking options will be looking very thin again.

I think the most poetic part is how the, at the time, judged disasters of MGW and Eze are kind of re-written to be blessings in disguise for ending up with Xavi Simons. As much as people want to get players in before 1st July, you just don't get a certain calibre of player in until the end of the window sometimes. Same with Muani, who I think had turned us down in January and prior.

Back in the day there'd be people with the same outlook on a night out - you don't really take anyone home with you from the club at 8pm - you have to wait until you're the best option at 4am :frankthumbs:

RKM?

Window was much better than I thought it would be but I don't believe it to be as good as everyone is saying

There are still big issues with this squad but then again it was never going to be solved in one window

2 cheap loans , definitely improvements but does feel a bit like kicking the can down the road

I do think though that the starting XI has improved but I’m puzzled about Lookman ( haven’t read any gossip if he didn’t want to come or Atalanta weren’t interested in selling )

Could not agree with you more -

This window has set the standard

We spent the last few years building up a base of young talent, added some much needed quality this summer - if we do that again over the next couple of windows we should be in a very good place.

is this where we cuntoff now? asking for a friend

You do realise we signed Muani who is arguably a better #9 than Richy or Solanke? And that we have Tel, Odobert, Simons and Muani who can all play LWF?

6 options for WFs: Kudus, Kulusevski, Johnson, Simons, Odobert, Tel
5 options at CF: Solanke, Richy, Muani, Tel, Scarlett

Muani a 95 million euro player hired for a season for around 5 million euros plus wages.
Hail Levy what a negotiator !!!!
This is partly why I'm surprised there's no option. Maybe PSG simply refused to include one?

From our perspective, it would have made so much sense. If Muani doesn't work out for us, we can send him back and that'll be that. But, if he nets a bucketful of goals and PSG recall him, we have to start the next transfer window by replacing him just to stand still. And, given PSG spent so much to get Muani, they'll probably want him back if he performs well... that or they'll make the price too high for us to keep him.

To pay 95 million euros seems ridiculous for a player that Frankfurt got on a free transfer and had for just the one season but Frankfurt seem to have that as their minimum for a goal scoring forward , according to transfermkt Liverpool paid the same for Ekitike.

Point now is that the manager has a squad that has tools to compete with the top 5-6 in the PL and top 16 in the CL

He will need luck with injuries and he will need to get them playing well but if he does, another window or 3 where we add players like Xavi and RKM in key positions and we could be a really really good team

Muani has never played in the Prem we simply do not know yet. Tel and odobert have hardly pulled up any trees hence why we tried for savinho and Johnson has absolutely zero creativity about him.
