I would argue the opposite. That's what these big groups are doing when they get football teams. They're going to try and win, because winning is the best way get endorsements, global popularity.
New owners here could go out and spend over a billion on a 3 year window with no issue at all. And investing on the playing squad is all that needs invested in just now, 90% of the infrastructure is done, compared with other projects. Whoever buys it is going to try and make them the best, you're not dropping billions to keep them ticking over. It's a huge swinging dick competition.
