The younger generation (albeit in their 60's) of Lewis have taken control as Joe Lewis is now 88.
IMO they want to sell Spurs but its possible they want to try to run Spurs, either way they thought Levy is on the way, hence he's gone. He may well have got an inkling of change hence his outburst a few weeks ago saying 'We want to win PL and CL (which he knows means more investment ....ie change) and also followed up with an interview to put his version of Spurs out there.
Nothing to do with protests. They have not been noticed in Bahamas and hardly registered in London as its a small fraction of the people attending games in stadium.

Agreed, and exactly what I would expect.
Which is why I didn’t really understand Jordan suggesting Levy might have been trying to sell his own shares in order to mastermind some sort of hostile plan.
His share allocation does not afford any sort of effective control. Lewis would be fully aware, remain in control, and the buyer would simply remain a junior.
The only way it would make sense is if Levy was trying to liquidate his shares, become a billionaire whilst, at the same time, remaining at the club. None of that would be in the power of the buyer to deliver.
Seems like a very un-Levy like thing to do.
The one thing I will say is he's slick. Such a better communicator than Dan and this has been delivered in a VERY timely fashion. There is still a mixed message here one of "business as usual" and one of financial backing by ENIC BUT what is best about this is the naming of the Lewis's, because right up till now what's been put up into the media is "sources close to the Lewis's".
