This was the vibe that I got from the Athletic piece.I do wonder if levy was turning it into levy fc
While he done many good things for the club
And it was either way or the highway
And some at the club had simply had enough and decided enough as enough
So far I'm getting the impression that Levy was given the remit to find investment and/or buyers (we heard as much about the former early on in the summer), but weirdly enough it seems like the Lewis Family have moved to stop all of that.
Makes you wonder if it is a family squabble of some sorts. Very strange 180 otherwise.
I suspect that either Joe Lewis isn't calling the shots anymore and the children want to have an actual go at it, or else there's a price in mind but they've exhausted the pool of likely buyers and the firm response has been the price can't be justified without more regular success and trophies.
Or some combination of the above.
Joe Lewis had to take a step back, especially after the court case recently, insider trading I believe.
It's widely known the Lewis kids and lots of the family are Spurs fans.
Like you say it's probably a combination of the above. But something tells me that the genuinely want to win things.
Levy was probably told to say, we want to win the PL and CL. Then got unceremoniously sacked.
I think the writing had been on the wall, for months.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens during the next summer window. This was the vibe that I got from the Athletic piece.
Levy had final say on everything at the club. The organisation circulated around him. That worked to an extent, and Joe may have been fine with it, but once Joe lost control of ENIC his children and grandchildren seem to not be as supportive of that approach.
I would assume that we won't see immediate wholesale changes. Vinai is reportedly re-arranging the club's structure so I assume that we will see any changes gradually. It's going to be interesting to see what happens during the next summer window.
The players we identify and we shape the team up, and how much of a say Frank has.
I would say January, but it is hard to get transfers done, not impossible though.
Yeah, getting a new board in place, for a more modern approach apparently.I would assume that we won't see immediate wholesale changes. Vinai is reportedly re-arranging the club's structure so I assume that we will see any changes gradually.
As much as I’d love to think their statements are genuine and it’s all about the love of the club and wanting success, unfortunately I can’t get past the feeling that it’s really all about money and it’s a strategy to maximise the sale price.I suspect that either Joe Lewis isn't calling the shots anymore and the children want to have an actual go at it, or else there's a price in mind but they've exhausted the pool of likely buyers and the firm response has been the price can't be justified without more regular success and trophies.

Fair play to him.Vinai is reportedly re-arranging the club's structure so I assume that we will see any changes gradually.
In all seriousness, my theory appears to have been 100% correct.
For a long time, I pontificated that JT was, in fact, a, and possibly the only, Levy plant.
What more cunning a plan than to get someone to be so annoying about him that it would literally turn people to supporting him out of spite? I am almost certain the bulk of the Levy in votes was done for that very reason - I know mine was.
And now, no Levy, no JT.
Even if he were to come back right now and start posting again, I would still have a hard time believing anything other than the above.
SO wherever you are, mate, whatever holiday you are on this time, I hope you and the Bald man are ok. He is, I'm sure, proud of you for the work you put in and for the number of people you personally drove into his short arms
Fuck offImagine JT living so free in your head that you’ve come back unprompted to write an essay about him because he hasn’t been posting. He’s won.
If you’d put this much effort in your personal life she might not have walked mate.
And who would that be?Fair play to him.
Hopefully that means clearing out all of Levy's yes men who were on the gravy train.

Don't worry.
Mate;
Are you sure that’s not friction burns?!Mate;
I'm still celebrating.
There's a fucking glow off me that would show up on radar.

It's joy.
You get the feeling that, the club had been shackled for so long its now free. It's joy.
Absolute joy.
I've wanted this outcome for 17 long years.
I wouldn't spend a penny in the ground for my last 5 years as a season ticket holder, until 2008, and then I was exiled from all home games for 11 years in defiance of the twat.
I am as happy about Levy getting canned as I was about winning the Europa.
Probably more so tbh.

Not sure where the club goes from here although, I highly doubt it would be worse off than it was.
Just don't think much changes at boardroom level in terms of spending and wages etc.
