Well, they do say initial and we do generate and receive a lot of other funds.

As always, it is how it is spent isnt it. We spent £50m on Johnson for example!
And we will likely still be paying installments for players like Johnson and Solanke.

So in regards to a 100 injection isnt 100m to spend on players, it could be for activating buy out clauses but it's a rolling thing, and having spent around a net -150m this summer and a net -100m the season before, taking into account our 23 24 losses for the period of over 100m, I would still say we would need significantly more injected than 100m if we want to put together a serious, top 3 standard of squad.

Each player of the level we require we can expect to spend 50-150m for, and if you want to get the best players out of their clubs - we'll they can demand a large portion of the fee up front.

We won't be able to buy a goalkeeper, a few defenders, several midfielders and a completely new attacking line based on this 100m injection. It probably just balances the books and keeps us steady. Significantly more is needed and the amounts required to build squads increases every year. Just look at what should be our rivals are spending.

it's not gonna turn us into title challengers but it's a good start.

just need to be wiser than the 172 million we spent on johnson, richie and solanke.
Always tempting to go for the prem proven of course but then you could easily end up with another super expensive mid player

As reported over the last few weeks. This is a loan from an Aussie bank, based on Sky tv money due by the end of the season, various clubs often do this but first time for us. We pay it back next year plus a bit of interest,
Helps cash flow apparently. We owe a bucket of money on previous transfers. Could do with flogging one or two next summer. Richy and Johnson come to mind.

Enic, with or without Levy are not changing their MO.
Its business as usual, we will buy both good and not so good signings, the good will inevitably move on for the big stuff.
The club will, continue to flirt between 4th-6th under the set up.

Why do we need a 'few' defenders?...

Only yesterday you’re popping up on the Ange thread to try to blame Levy for the stadium being late and over budget with zero insight or knowledge on the subject!

I'm still waiting for you to tell me whose fault it was, that the stadium build went tits up and over the deadline, if it wasn't your personal hero Daniel Levy's fault?

Tits up and over deadline!

If reports are to believed Mace the project management company weren’t robust enough in onsite management of the electrical subcontractors who cocked up the fire suppression and warning systems wiring.

That’s only reading what’s been in the press and has been denied by the parties involved. 🤷🏻

Still waiting for you to show me a billion pound project delivered within original timescale and budget!

You clearly have no idea how projects of this size work so stop trying to oversimplify things to fit your narrative.

I've worked on projects where what you are describing has happened.

The project managers are nearly always replaced.

Just saying......

Why do we need a 'few' defenders?...
Because we have 6/7 RCB, 1LCB, 4LB/RB, one of which is Davies, and he should have been moved on years ago.

So sell 3/4 of the RCB, get 1/2 natural LCB, and a new LCB.

Danso, Phillips, Davies, Dorrington, being the ones sold off.

This is Levynomics. Gets in 7 players for the same position RCB, and ignores the rest of the defence, leaving us exposed to injuries, and lack of squad depth.
