I can't see Enic backing Frank with much in January, especially if, he is on his bike come summer.

They should be backing the team regardless and trying their level best to improve it, doesn't matter who the manager is.
That would work if, the club was buying players to fit a particular system regardless of the manager.
But we don't have an identity to which to buy to, I don't think the club knows what it is, apart from not being top four anymore.
The club should be building the identity and the ethos by buying a certain type of player and then hiring a coach who fits in that same philosophy to follow suit.
